Inspired by @biggs682 and his daughters first paid job, this hasn't been done since 1992 and there are a whole range of new faces....

I had a couple of paper rounds for pocket money, but my first job was cleaning Simca Cars. They used to arrive with a protective wax coating and needed to be cleaned to Showroom standard

Bouncer at 16, for my then local football club bar. I was a big lad even then, so just had to grimace a bit and look scary. Easy money, and all the coca cola I could drink. Think it was about £3.50 an hour, which was pretty good for 1985.

Milk round... four mornings a week from 4.30am - 8am and i think i got £2 per morning. I've never liked getting out of bed so it didn't last long.
My first job after leaving school was a YTS, which was barely paid... £27.50 for a 40 hour week.

At 15, I was a trainee lithographic printer in the 'up and coming' new age of printing at Solicitors Law Stationery Society in High Holburn.
It was so 'up and coming' that I was made redundant, six months later, when the department closed!

I think, in 1967, I was on £4 10 shillings an hour.

Another YTSer here about 1984 and still at the same company BT aka openreach on slightly more money than YTS days .one day I might figure out whether I like it or not

Driving pilot car for Westates Flagman Escort Inc of Springfield, Oregon, back when it was run by Terri Raines..... who a few years later moved to Australia and married Steve Irwin and continues to run Australia Zoo. Minimum wage plus mileage allowance and expenses (food, accommodation) paid. Had a nice trip to Mexico from that job.

Coop deliveries, bike and foot..
Fri, sat morn (7/6) and odd evening and a 1 shilling tip was mega...

Paper round after that was luxury...morning, evening only (I think 15/- evening), morning 10/- was only a handful of papers thankfully.

First job, message lad/shop assistant £ 5 12/6 per week.

Actually, I was fibbing! My first job, to earn my pocket money, was helping in my dads ironmongery shop on Saturday mornings.
