Ainley Top roundabout, cycling from Huddersfield towards Elland - Streetview link!

It is uphill all the way to the roundabout which is very busy with fast-moving traffic and you have to climb about 10 metres as you go round it. I almost ground to a halt and had vehicles braking hard behind me - scary!

Sounds like a similar problem to mine. What makes the junction I posted really bad, is that you get a lot of lorries going that way because of the tolls on the Itchen Bridge. Infact the council argue the tolls are there to discourage lorry drivers from using the Itchen bridge as if they did so it would require them to drive their lorries through the city centre.

The tolls are not in place solely to pay for the construction and maintenance of the bridge. They were introduced because the building of such a bridge would increase the volumes of private and commercial traffic from all over the region, particularly during peak times.
The approach roads to the bridge (especially on the eastern side of the river) are not laid out to accommodate such volumes of traffic, so it would therefore be detrimental to the environmental quality of the residential area to the east, and to the historic and quieter southern sector of the city centre to the west. Also the increased congestion will prejudice the convenient use of the bridge by the local people it was primarily intended to assist.
The tolls are significantly higher for commercial vehicles to deter them from using the bridge as a convenient short cut across the city and instead use one of the other two routes which have a better road infrastructure.
Southampton City Council were the first British Authority to impose road pricing regulations to control traffic.

This one is one I will not ride unless I know its going to be very quiet its too big and busy, I stopped using it when they added the A46 link to the M6.

Armley Gyratory in Leeds. The most unforgiving element of the 1960s "Fortress Leeds", designed with one sole aim in mind - never, NEVER, NEVER, EVER shall a cyclist pass!

That's not a good one, but for me in Leeds it's the A653 exit off from the Leeds Ring Road A6120 by the White Rose Centre. Major roundabout on a fast dual-carriageway with shopping centre to the left so no-one's looking.

Then, to take the A653 you've got to get into the RH lane of the ring road. The cycle lane just stops by the petrol station and you're on your own: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=millshaw road a653 leeds&hl=en&ll=53.756855,-1.570817&spn=0.002664,0.003449&hnear=Millshaw Rd, Leeds, United Kingdom&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=53.756855,-1.570817&panoid=nQwXWtIplpUVmhClUA4ehw&cbp=12,46.07,,0,0

This is probably the most dangerous bit on my commute from Dewsbury to Leeds, most of which is dual-carriageways: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=dewsbury&daddr=53.7968561,-1.5491878 to:Woodhouse Ln/A660&hl=en&ll=53.748508,-1.552849&spn=0.11978,0.220757&sll=53.795835,-1.544566&sspn=0.014956,0.027595&geocode=Fek9MwMdASLn_yl9qkPuH2B5SDGwAbVKZI9wOQ;FfjfNAMdfVzo_ylJbqV0Hlx5SDHRwfLRnvkMEw;FfULNQMdwlDo_w&oq=leeds&t=h&dirflg=h&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=15&via=1&z=12
