That is my problem with them, and it was a crap tune at that.

The only one they did that wasn't the same tune was Living in an island, which was not much of an improvement.

Could never abide any heavy metal but if I had to pick the worst of the lot, it would have to be Judas Priest. If Uriah Heep and Jethro Tull count, then I'd have them in there as well.

Goodness, even I knew that and I had never heard of him before.

I had only come across him doing some terrible acting on an old CSI episode and had a listen to him on YouTube, well before All Summer Long came out.

There used to be a Norwich based band called The Snake Charmers who were truly terrible. The musicians were fab but the singer was out of this world terrible. I saw them empty a pub during one Stones cover. Not to be confused with The Snake Charmers with Harry James on drums, they are not terrible.

I tried to like it, honest, but other than Atom Heart Mother, anything before Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You were here is just "difficult" as far as I am concerned, I simply don't get it. Their style changed and evolved, with some truly remarkable stuff along the way, and it shaped my taste in music permanently. Gilmour's guitar playing simply pushes all my buttons, and his musicality is what does it for me. I'm too young (!) to be into 60s psychedelia; my listening to music began with Bowie and Floyd in the 70s. Tell you what, I'll go and listen to A Saucerful of Secrets and have another go.

Meddle is a great album, it's about where the 'good stuff' begins.

Worst 'rock' band ......................Journey.

My ears haven't recovered from number one sons obsessesion in the 90s with Nine inch nails ,on the plus side he did move on to better things ie.Judas priest ,Iron Maiden and BlackSabbath.

Probably won't find many rock fans in agreement with this, but Led Zep were very over-rated IMHO..
With the glaring exception of Stairway to Heaven, which is one of my most favourite songs ever.

I liked this for the fact that LedZep are severely overrated .
Stairway to heaven was vastly overrated too

Janies Got a Gun is anything but a cheesedick song. I could go through all the bands and name more than one cracking track, but if you don't like metal/rock music then they are all crap.
