Thanks, I'm pretty happy with it, should have made it 100 though.

I'm surprised how ok I feel now though, with a total of 80 miles today and it was mostly climbing my head feels fine, I usually feel tired and have a headache and other things after a long ride.

Although I did have 2 bags of crisps and a sarnie at a shop , 2 mars bars and 2 titan bars I went through too.

It was a beautiful night, it was meant to be a rest day but as the weather was so good I couldn't resist extending my commute to 31miles (its usually sub 4). I did it on the hybrid so times weren't great and it was pretty flat but it was enjoyable except for the spanner driving the otherway through Leith who randomly decided to shout little Richard head, although I think that says more about him

I thought I try out the camera on the ATC too and took these pictures at Longniddry Bents

Edit - Coincidentally that's the commuter done 6000miles

Not a big commute today, but it certainly started with a laugh and a red face.
Removed and cleaned the chain while at work, usually takes 10 minutes, then chain back on as and when i find time through the day.
Trouble is....i forgot to put it back on :blush::laugh:
Slung a leg over the saddle and 'walked' it to the exit, clocked off, climbed on the bike, feet on pedals.....oooer  No resistance at all. Looked down...no bloody chain :biggrin::biggrin:

Just did a local 10 mile loop this evening. Feel I should be doing a bit more to get fit for my tour starting next week, but I'm sure it will all come together on the day.

50 miles, 43 or so with the club. It was a enjoyable fast ride but I think I overheated  I hit a point after about 35miles where I had to drop off the back. This happens to me before on club runs, I need to master eating on a club run, I have the feeling that I could go on for much longer but at my own pace

100K Bike Radar Sportive. Very hot and Sticky. I rode the first lap of Donington with Mark Webber and his posse, tagged onto Geoff Thomas's train for a few miles before deciding he was going a bit slow (he was doing the 100 mile though), then found myself swept along in the middle of a proper big peloton until I got spat out on the first real hill. Finished 110th out of nearly 300, and only an hour behind the winner - not bad for a fat bloke in his forties :bravo:

The Bike Radar event itself was better than I expected, and given that this was the first go, it looks good for the future.

A jolly 35 mile ride in the sun
Including 2 laps of Richmond Park (1 in each direction). Topped off with a naughty strawberry ice cream

66 miles in glorious sunshine this morning. Left the house at 7.15 and was home before 11. Weather was excellent, sunny, warm with hardly any breeze. Must have seen about 40 other cyclists on the road between Muirkirk and Strathaven. Now sitting in the garden with a nice glass of chilled white wine:smile::thumbsup:.

Pity I'm working tomorrow as the forecast is for another great day
