Whilst I'd still always refer to it as a benefit I'd man the barricades rather than see it changed into something that resembles "benefits scrounger" benefits.I reckon a change in common parlance to be groundwork for changes.

Because an entitlement to a benefit is not the same thing as the benefit itself?How about just calling it pension entitlement. sounds good to me..![]()
I'd prefer Retirement Compensation or some such myself.
This dates from 2010 consistently refers to pensions as a benefit. Anyone got a contemporary reference from the 20thC I wonder?
