The Specials. They were supporting the Clash at Leeds Queens Hall. It just seemed to be a reggae beat with the black guys running to front of the stage and shouting stuff.

My worst concert experience was probably at a big festival, can’t remember which year, where I went mainly to see one band and then they barely played a 30-minute set, not one word to the audience, just song after song, then gone. The sound was off too, super echoey, so honestly I left early and chilled in the food area. Sometimes I think smaller venues are just better for actually hearing the music and feeling connected, even if you don’t know all the songs.

Also, losing track of tickets used to be a nightmare for me, especially before mobile options were the norm. I usually buy tickets from StarTickets now since I know I’ll actually get in and if there’s a problem, their support sorts it fast.
