I know for myself I hate the current setup. The fact you have to link it and are forced to link it with a Google+ account which is a crap version of facebook its annoying. There is a reason everyone clicked no when it asked you.

I don't have a Goggle+ account and don't plan on having one either.So is there still a way to see new comments in your inbox via Youtube.

As far as I can tell comments on your video work as normal. It's only if you want to post a comment where you need a google+ account. Although you can still post comments under the youtube channel name which is an option that you get which is why you still get the hitler and Obama guys. Utter pointless thb. Also glad you like the link. It's from the comments on the video.
