Zippable tyre covers

I can't see myself ever wanting to switch tyres tread mid ride, but I have switched tyres before a ride. If I lived somewhere that freezes in the winter, being able to zip on a pair of spiked tyres could be handy.

Anyway, just found these and wanted to share...

I'd never use them I'll never be fit enough, but for somebody who MTB's 20 miles to the trails, then does 20-40 miles on the trails & thenrides 20 miles home the extra energy saving might be worth having them.

A solution looking for a problem and it's Kickstarter. Personally I wouldn't go near it. The funding call ends on October 26th and shipping is offered in January. I doubt that will happen.

I once funded a cycle lock on Kickstarter. A shoddy, non-working product was delivered months late and the guy eventually gave up supplying backers.

To this day I still wonder what convinced me to give money to a total stranger.

Guilty here too. Backing expensive pipedream projects that become big heavy bulky parcels that need shipping from the other side of the globe - what could go wrong? Plus once arrived many months late (& I was one of the luckier early recipients that actually GOT something) heck it's still sitting here Brandnew unused today...
