Said the very day he got the job that it was a mistake.

Good luck to him, one of the very few good guys from the modern game.

Hope to f*ck Celtic don't look at him for Mowbrays replacement though!!

Very sad to see him go, he was a genuinely decent guy.

It's hard to know whether he had lost the dressing room or if it was just the decision of the owners. How the hell did we ever get stuck with that short-arsed little porno shoot as co-owner?

And let's hope they're not stupid enough to offer the job to Souness or O'leary.

Or Tony Mowbray!!!

Souness will not be considered. He has finally been found out that he is a terrible manager. The smoke and mirrors have gone and he can con people no more.

Don't be too sure.

Owners seem to take leave of their senses when it comes to hiring managers. look at Alan Ball, took virtually every club he managed down a division yet he still kept getting work. And Brian Laws, sacked by Sheffield Wednesday because he was crap, Hired by Burnley where they are surprised to find he is still crap.

I have been supporting West Ham for over 40 years (I'm an old git) and yes I am saddened by this. I liked Zola. I remember WH getting relegated when John Lyall was in charge. The board kept faith with him and we duly won the FA Cup and got promoted back with a record season.

If available I would favour Slaven Bilic as a replacement.

When West Ham appointed John Lyall in 1974 he was only the fourth manager in the club's history. More than one club has gone through that number in one season, how times have changed.

Lyall was the fourth manager since the war. There were others before.

Yes times have changed but not for the better.

We still have a trophy in the cabinet tho.

Was 'dead man walking' as soon as the Dave's started spouting off.

Wonder if Clarkie will wait around to see who his new boss is?

Will Scotty stay now, mmmmmmm

I liked some of the stuff Gold & Sullivan have been saying but why slag off the playersmanager?

Can't see Clarke staying but hope we will hold onto Scott Parker.

I've only seen West Ham play three times. And each time they've been relegated the following season.

Any Hammers fan want to drop me a fiver for not popping down next season, just PM.
