Power comes from force and rotational speed.

So low speed, higher force. That's why most erg workouts are high cadence. Normal humans cant produce the force at low cadence.

The 'spiral of death' where the cadence gets too slow and the resistance increases until pedals can't be turned. One option is to come out of ERG (E key) before sprint sections. Another is as Bob says, spin up cadence coming into the sprint section and this should get you through.

Personally I'll probably change my FTP in Zwift before this stage so I can use the stage as more of a 'recovery' workout rather than full out leg killer!

Its not that difficult a stage-honest. Its the first 20 min that will tax the legs. So get a good warm up. After that its not that taxing-i did another ride after and was fine. I did intentionally ride at a cadence of 100 plus though my strava average was just under 100

I think he has a good chance.
2. and 3. fastest hour record attempts were done by two danes: Mikkel Bjerg and Martin Toft Madsen. Campanaerts was faster than Martin at the European championships. To be fair, Martin had a minor crash and could have been a contender podium, but not Campanaerts 1st place.

The fastest dane, Mikkel Bjerg, was to young to compete with Campanaerts last year. He did a fenomenal attempt in less than optimal conditions ending just 700 meters short of Wiggins record.

I'm top of a Strava segment of CC riders :wahhey: OK, only me and Ryan have done it, and Ryan didn't know he was in a competition ... but even so

Paul you have to spin up a second or two before the sprint- it’s really frustrating but it’s the only way to get near to or on top of the power needed for a sprint in erg on the NEO. I wish they would sort it. Required quite. A lot of anticipation last night on the sprints in stage 3.
Precisely this!

Happened to me when I was doing the Build me Up programme.

If you don't star your spin up before these high watt parts of a workout you risk running into the ERG spiral of death

There is plenty to chew with that challenge. When somebody finally beat that time there is three boobs visible after that, just my wild guess ^_^.
