Yeah fair enough

We met a Dutch guy on our first ascent who had the card strapped to his seat post. I asked how he was getting on with it and he said he’d done one climb the day before and was now going to do the other two. Apparently they accept you can do the 3 climbs over 24 hours rather than one day. Me and lee did it in a day and struggled like hell for the achievement. Dutch boy got a card stamped 3 times.

I’m happy with our choices even if my legs weren't! 😄

Hmm, dodgy at best although still an achievement -just not as good as your and Lee's :okay:

Its a wierd one isn’t it? I mean if that’s his limit then that’s his limit and I’m not judging him. I really hope he got up 3 times. But the night before we did it I got about 3 hours sleep. Just too hot then I started getting stressed about it… so I got my head down finally around 5am. When Dutch guy told me his tactic I did think “shoot, maybe I should of thought of that!”. But ultimately it’s not the same is it. It would've always bugged me until I did it properly.

Did you only get 3 hours sleep? Wow-mate, respect!

I wondered how long it would take you to mention it :tongue:

Did the first wtrl zwift classics (New Zealand ) race at 0800 this morning. I was placed in class 4 where I had worked out I would probably be. 36 starters approx 60% cat B and 40% Cat C (inc me) What a start! I didn't make my fastest start but I didn't think I was that slow either. At the bottom of Harlow hill I was 34th with everyone else seemingly pulling away from me. 5 of the fast starters overcooked it and I ground my way up to a lonely 29th place at the finish. Good luck to all other CCer's who are racing later today.

That was warm :sweat::sweat::sweat:

Managed to hang with the "Fast" group until the KOM first time round after that it was a solo TT effort:heat::heat::heat: Took 10th (FAL) in three of the sprints and 9th (FTS) on the KOM ... Finished 10th 1:30 down on the groups ahead of me, and 30s ahead of the next rider.

Quite surprised, and chuffed considering I haven't ridden since the last ZRL series :eek: ... Liking the new Sensah Empire Pro 12 speed goupset ... Not bad for cheap Chinese Sh!t! :biggrin::biggrin:

Hope the new groups work out. Finally got the asbestos out of garage so used turbo for the first time in ages yesterday, but paused zwift subscription until next week, no idea where fitness will be, have been doing quite easy outside rides rather than intense efforts so imagine will have lost a bit

Rode the 12:00 with Tony, as the norm I missed the fast lead group but managed to tuck in lower down the field, once my HR settled I was able to claw my way up to finish 14th out of 23, so chuffed with that.
It was nice to actually overtake people rather than just sitting at the back of the race hanging on....

Also took the fastest time on the Sprint on lap 2 so should get some points for that... 👍

Tough course with very little flat, the winner seemed to be in the wrong category but I'd imagine this new system will take a while to bed in.

I tried racing earlier but bailed after about 200 meters. Just no mojo. Trying to lure @bridgy back into the fold so hopefully we can push each other back to fitness. I’m like you in that I’m assuming I’ve lost a fair bit of that sort of racing cardio you need.

I think I’ll try racing again tomorrow if anyone fancies it? Open to suggestions on time and race
