I raced last night, and enjoyed it. Four laps of Innsbruck, great circuit but I’ve always struggled with the legsnapper - I don’t have enough of a punch to get up it with the best.

All Categories started together and I was in C. Tried to hold onto the front group but lost them on the legsnapper first time over it. Then stayed in a small 2nd group and went hard up the legsnapper each lap, dropping one or two each time. Managed to shake the other C rider off on the final lap to win C cat but only four entrants, and would have been last of the Bs if I entered that category.

Averaged over 6.5w/kg each time up the legsnapper, so quite pleased with that considering my almost total lack of riding this summer and carrying an extra 5KG!

Zwift Classics - London Int'l 5 Laps, and as bloody expected after my performance last week autocat has put me in bloody C4!!!! :cursing::cursing::cursing::cursing:

What's more infuriating is that all 5 of those that finished ahead of me are still in C5!! How the foxtrot does that work?!

Edit: Mr Angry email sent to Race Control :laugh::laugh:
@Aleman with these Zwift Classics races, is it a mass start, or do the different categories (C3, C4 etc) all start separately?

All start separately. Most times I can hang on to the lead group for about half a mile, and then they are gone, and it's a case of hanging with the slower group ... which I eventually get spat out of , or iTT'ing it. Last weeks course was a blinder for me. The big watt boys didn't want to go for broke with the Blogna climb ahead, so we hung as a good sized group to the start of the climb, and it fractured at that point. The heavy guys got away from me on the descent, and I burnt to many matches trying to bridge to them, which meant I was caught and passed in the last 500m up the climb again, by those that has escaped from the group behind me.

Western Europe C0 starts at 19:46, IIRC C4 starts at 19:49

Might try this if I get back in time for it.

Did a sportive at the weekend so might be better if I don't, was not used to being in the saddle so long!

@Aleman well done, that was a tactical masterpiece.

Annoyingly half the results are missing but me and Issac's shared a couple of sprints each then Tony attacked from a group of 17 on the last lap from miles out. A real classics attack, very steady sustained power.

Annoyingly the only person who went with you was the best sprinter in the race and I could see he wasn't pulling. I decided to attack on the last climb to try and bridge, luckily someone else had the same idea and we caught you two, and the 4 of us stayed away. Then Issac's popped a ghost so I went for it and pipped him just as he became visible (on the line).

I think I beat him anyway, as the results were all weird at the end. I'm off to sit on some ice.

@mjd1988  I think I just fooked up  According to ZP (which looks to be fubar'd ... again :roll ) I Averaged 250 wattsat 3.2W/kg ... I hope that doesn't push me into the B's :ph34r::ph34r:.

I knew (from the previous laps) that there was no way I could compete in the sprints, so just decided to push and see what happened. I think I was most surprised to see that it worked :laugh:🍩 I've earned that bottle of Kasteel Rouge 🍻🍻🍻

Your current average is 2.8, so you'll need to average over 3.4+ (not worked it out, but probably 3.6 ish) for 20 mins to push your average into B numbers.

Or do 3 races where your average is 3.4 over 20 mins

My 3 race best average is 3.17 ... so very squeaky close to that 3.2 limit
