Congrats @Whorty & @mjd1988!

Indeed!

Me and @Spartak had a good race with the Italians. Official results aren't in yet but got another one of these:

So happy overall. Had too much cake before the race - if it was 5 minutes longer would have to use the emergency bucket

Nice going @Peter Salt

The group I was in managed to eventually pull you back and then chapeau to you for hanging on.
Those last few rollers are tough and I had nothing left for the sprint, great riding with you - get on Discord if possible.

Same time next week.... 👍

Possibly a few kilos heavier though.... 🤔

Ah fug. There goes the Festive 500. Gone down with something, not covid (tested twice).

So it looks like rest, recover and hit the new year with some miles and weight loss.

Anyhoo. Enjoy your Christmas and New year. Will ride with you then.

I had aspirations to have a go at the 500.

Unfortunately the wife put pay to this curtailing several days of riding opportunity.

I didn't want to spend 3 hours plus each day trying to catch up the lost distance.

Its bad enough with 40 miles per day to keep pace with the challenge.

What's happening Saturday...?
Sitting here on my own .... depends how I cope with the day. I'm going to try and treat it like a normal weekend..... that's the plan anyway

I have aspirations every year. They usually fail with a hangover on Christmas morning

I sign up for it every year but haven't completed it yet !
Doesn't help that today is my birthday, too much running around to be done.
Normally cycle out to do the Boxing Day TT and do that but I'm not sure if it's being held this year.
Then back to work on Monday & Tuesday so should get some miles in then.

As a bit of fun shall we post our distances on here.... :okay:
