It's a really undulating sort of course; in fact I can't recall any flat bits at all. Lots of elevation changes, but only one climb of note (Harlem Hill) and that's not particularly long (90-120 seconds long?). @Whorty will be glad to know that the route doesn't go up on to the glass highways though - stays on the Central Park roads only.

4 laps of New York, park perimeter.

I’m not sure I’ve done it before.
Is that the one where @mjd1988 ended up on the gravel bike last year?

 Yes, don't fancy a B race with a long KoM climb

Thanks mate 👍. Yes, contrary to what Lee’s chief cheerleader / stalker seems to see from row Z, we have shared it out fairly evenly over the years haven’t we. I guess you’ve been there yourself enough times eh. Winning races I mean, hopefully you haven’t been stalked by a middle aged bloke shaking Pom poms too! It’s always more fun when we’re all racing together though isn’t it.

My power number was good last night so that was satisfying. But I got gapped slightly on the last climb so I guess the punch isn’t quite there at the moment.

Like Lee said it would be nice if we could find a time that suited us all to race each other more often.

@berty bassett, I spoke to Pete a week or so back and he’s aiming to make a comeback in a month or so hopefully. I think the Irishman might need some convincing though, he seems to be having fun in C cat.
I quite like doing the TDZ rides as races with our own league table as we're doing now - I know it's flawed, but being able to do it whenever suits us best is a good thing (like people used to do in Bkool races when you could add bots of people who'd already done it).

When that's over I'd definitely be up for another Tour De Splitters of some sort. Hopefully the club function will have been rolled out to one of us by then and we can finally set up our own races properly too 🤞

Anyone know what the course is next Tuesday? Can never find the race schedule on the WTRL website

Uuuu, I'm not sure I would agree entirely there, Steve. Yes, no long KOMs but at least three hills where people will push hard. Uphill before a downhill sprint, uphill to the finish line.

Never living that one down

@mjd1988 have you noticed that in the ZP results for last night's race you're placed 8th overall, but 9th over the line for the final sprint which ended in the same place?!

Yes I saw that last night but I assumed it would be sorted today. We finished a point ahead of the team below
...so I'm not going to question it in case we lose 2 points

Has anyone got the club's function on the companion app yet? It's a staggered roll out isn't it?

Other people have mentioned that happening to them on the Zwift forums - one finished three places higher than what the sprint had him as. The theory is that the official finish line is a metre or so behind the sprint banner, so if you cross in a big fast moving bunch you could overtake / be overtaken by anyone in your group in those fractions of a second between the two lines, even though they look to be in roughly the same place on screen.

I did not have the option last night, but checked the Companion app just now and....

Does anyone want me to go ahead and create, or would it be better coming from a longer standing member of the team?

Awesome!!

I personally have no problem if you want to set it up Steve - as long as you'll be happy running it (I don't know if you'll be the only one able to set up events for example?)

We should think about club name and stuff - I assume it wouldn't be right for us to use the Cyclechat name for example for copyright reasons?

You've probably seen it but this is a useful article on setting it up https://zwiftinsider.com/create-club/

From what I remember the club 'owner' can nominate admins etc. so should be able to share things as needed.
Fairly recent Level 20 here on android. No sign of clubs yet. I wonder what determines the rollout order?
