You might be more likely to have an 'off' when off-roading, but the speeds are generally lower and the landings are generally softer.
That depends on where you are riding! Some of the trails round here are grass/mud/gravel (so, yes - softer) but lots are rock-strewn (worse to land on than tarmac), and in some places there are precipitous drops should you lose control.

Generally slower and softer, but sometimes definitely not. I have never dared to ride down this for example; for me it is a bike hike up or down!!

I have more than adequately proved that "riding like a tw@t" can cause "offs" on both  . Gravity always wins eventually. But as you can see in my sentence, I used two "generally"s. There will always be exceptions.

I can remember descending Newlands Pass after I'd climbed it. Overcook that one you could go right over the edge. Quite scary if you think about it too much. Plenty of braking ensued on that one.

Help required from the more techy guys , it's been over a month since I've zwifted hopped on today and cannot connected my trainer to zwift via Bluetooth or using the app as a bridge which is my usual method . Update of zwift done and companion app reinstalled. Any ideas ?

I've used Zwift a little bit in the last week or so after barely touching it since getting my ebike in April, but I've gone from previously rock solid pairing of my Saris H3 and Coospo Heart Rate Monitor to either our Surface Pro 4 (via ANT+ dongle plugged into USB keyboard), my old Xiaomi Mi A2 mobile (ANT+) and my Poco F3 (Bluetooth) to having tempremental pairings myself that eventually sort themselves out.

I've not spotted a thread on the zwift forum talking about pairing issues, but I swear things have got worse.

Yesterday I wanted to use my 4iiii power meter as the source, instead of the H3, because I've not calibrated it since the recent heatwave and didn't have time to do one before a TT.
So firstly I had to pair the H3 to Surface Pro 4 via ANT+ selecting the "FEC" option, which then allows me to pair the H3's cadence sensor and trainer resistance. Along with HRM afterwards.
I then reverse span my cranks a few revolutions to wake up the 4iiii crank unit and searched for it under the Zwift power options, plus then searched for the 4iiii under cadence options.
Then paired 4iiii to my Lezyne Super Pro GPS, turned left crank to vertical down position and calibrated 4iiii via the GPS unit.

Update I remembered since my last zwift ride I had changed my tablet , dug out my old tablet (with cracked screen ) and this successfully connected everything to zwift . So why wouldn't my trainer connect direct via Bluetooth and why will my new tablet not work as a bridge to connect ?

I've just ordered a Karoo GPS on 30 day trial. My ageing Wahoo Elemnt is working fine, except for being a bit slow to notify junctions and lacking detail on routing. Let's see what 5+ years of technology progess can do

I would suggest deleting the. Bluetooth connections on the new tablet. Then re connect. It maybe slight differences in software on each device is causing the conflict.
Prior to getting zwift steering I used to connect my trainer and HRM direct to zwift while using apple TV . So I tried leaving my controls off ( due to apple TVs limited Bluetooth connections ) and connecting how I used too but zwift never saw my trainer

Bluetooth issues that I have had were when an unintended device paired before the intended one. For example, a couple of times my phone paired to my earbuds before my tablet could and it took me a while to spot that.

Did and hour Z2 fasted after quite a few weeks off the indoor. We came back from our mini tour around Norfolk over 4 days. Very nice trip, dodge the rain whilst riding, but there was only two spells really, rest of the time glorious sun and ice cream

I did a couple of races in the last week. Nothing serious. Came 3rd in a Crit Club and last in a Chase Race which I had decided to use as a workout - so I rode hard for 25 minutes and then dropped off to do my own thing.

Been doing veloviewer tile collecting outdoors mostly but lower volume than usual this year. I've had a shed to build and have got into wood turning so more things competing for my time.

I tried looking for some races on Zwift to do instead of structured workouts. But it appears that very short events have completely taken over - if you want to find a 1h+ anything you need to plan two weeks in advance as there's maybe 2 or 3 a day.

Yeah, that's one of the few I've noted. May do the 17:30 one on Friday. Bit of a boring route but maybe competition will make it exciting.

I can see all pens start at the sam time. Do you know if everyone is visible?

Yes I think they changed it from when I used to do them. It was all one pen back then. Now you are only competing against your own pen but with everyone visible and starting together.
