The one thing I have noticed is no more numb turbo ass from staying in same position for a long while
Ditto
. Long rides don't seem as daunting

What trainer you have?. That tells a bit how reliable that FTP is. I trust direct drive trainers pretty much, especially Elite Drivo 2 what i have. Power output numbers fit very well with Quarq Riken R powermeter what i have as well.
The firmware update had a lot of people complaining as previously it seems the Vortex had been a little generous with its figures, most peoples power seemed to drop about 10% after the update
I keep the firmware on mine up to date so can only assume it's relatively accurate

As long as power readings are consistent it really doesn't matter what trainer you are using. My previous trainer Bkool Smart Pro 1 makes me feel sometimes like i am...well at least like a semi pro riderI've got a Tacx Vortex, so not direct drive. I've read up a bit on them recently and they did a firmware update last year that seems to have made them much more accurate, most people report less than 5% difference from powermeter readings. I've never tested it myself so have no way of knowing for sure what mine is doingThe firmware update had a lot of people complaining as previously it seems the Vortex had been a little generous with its figures, most peoples power seemed to drop about 10% after the update

If I find myself using the turbo a lot I might upgrade to a direct drive unit but I've got other things to spend my money on at the moment![]()
. Best FTP was almost 300W with Bkool
. I felt my legs that those readings was far from the truth. I did sometimes comparison with power meter which confirm my feelings.I have Drivo 2. Very impressive trainer, indoor training feels very realistic now and power output accuracy is very good, match perfectly with my Quarq powermeter. Accuracy suppose to be 0,5%, could be. Specs say it can produced power 3600W@60km/h. Sounds bit of overwhelmed trainer for me but good to know that there is lot of capacity for future needsI'm reading very good things about the Elite Drivo 2, has anyone got first hand experience?

. Today i had a problems with Zwift and Drivo 2. Ant+ signal find devices but resistance unit didn't want to work. With Bkool Sim it worked well but with Zwift take's some time when it finally start to react. It was mystery to me what was the issue. I have heard that Drivo trainers have BLE resistance issues, seems like some ANT+ issues might occure as well.
