Or Bkool video rides

Or BigRingVR rides where you can create your own simply combining your tcx and mp4 files.

Had a moment of weakness, now waiting for an Elemnt

Legs feel ok after yesterday's big club run. Apart from woeful hill climbing speed, I had plenty of stamina and could of been a bit quicker, but had to rely on others for navigation till nearer home staying with their pace. Hence easy to load routes on the Wahoo is required^_^

Andy, Element or Bolt?

Re cameras I am likely to get a cycliq fly 12 combi light and camera in the autumn and duo mount to take the bolt.

The Elemnt, Bob. Like Tommy I need very large buttons and letters to have a vague chance of understanding how to work it.

Have you seen the price of those combi mounts, ridiculous. I'm not buying a kedge

Speak for yourself Grandad! ^_^

I went for the bolt in the end Andy:rolleyes:. I'm hoping it's not too much of a compromise... maps are obviously better on bigger screens as well as bigger numbers etc but I'm used to the size of the 520 and 500 before that. Where as I think from memory you're more used to a larger unit? At least the buttons are on the face, as opposed to the 520 where theyre awkward to get to. And because you do most of the set up via a phone app it looks much more strainght forward.

Lots of really cool new features to play with too!

Regarding the garmin. Every time I get off my bike since setting up the heart rate monitor it tells me I need like a day+ worth of rest. Yesterday it said 72 hours... I'm assuming this is based on heart rate zones being used?

I wonder if the pros use Zwift because it's good for their training, or because they are paid to use it 'x' times per month? The cynic in me says the latter, partly because Zwift is so open and you can see everyone's power figures that they are unlikely to want to give away too much and be on there unless they get money for it.

Cynic! I think Zwift have been pretty clear that they don't pay any pros to use the software. They say they don't need to. They may have done early days but don't think they do now or have done for some time.they don't need to. It's pretty robust and trainer agnostic. It kind of sells itself.
Now, what are bkool paying you and the the rest of the CC team?!?

Ps
Apparently Cav was warming up at 180ish watts and a HR of 50 before holding a steady 4.5w uphill. Sounds like a recovery ride.

I think the Pros probably suffer from the same issues regarding indoor training as the rest of us. Racing people virtually probably helps satiate their competitiveness a bit as well, especially if they are off the bike due to injury or illness.

I think the software is also called virb although I may well be wrong. From what I understand though is you need either the garmin camera or computer to get the software to work. But it'll work with a garmin edge and a go pro combination. You can put loads of info on the screen which you can customise yourself. Speed, power, gps routes, cadence etc etc. It looks pretty cool to be honest.

I was looking at it because I was thinking of buying a go pro. But to be honest I'm not sure how interesting watching back the footage is, unless someone hits the deck!
let me get this right then
i have a gopro4 and garmin edge
all i need is some software to pair them together in a video ?
like people said i don't think it would be used much - but might be nice to do one or two maybe for bkool
i thought there was a camera called a garmin virb that done it - what a silly billy
i got over 50 and all of a sudden operating a computer makes as much sense as brain surgery
