Best of the luck today Bob, and anyone else who joins in! I’ll still be working when this thing starts. Can I log in and watch the latter stages?

you can use zwift link on your phone to see the numbers gradually falling
or log in to zwift simulator and watch feature, you need to be quick to click on rider on the rhs else they disappear from the list

Thanks Andy. Do you mean log in. Then try and click on the names on the right hand side? They scroll fast because you’re stationary?

Yes log in. The watch function is probably the worst aspect on Zwift, it should have a search feature. If you see one of our names click on it if you can, or someone very close on the list and then jump to our name

We don’t know for sure but I reckon it will be nutters off full blast. I think 550 riding so far and even with staggered Cat starts must be ample opportunity to draft. Certainly if I get dropped I won’t push on but wait for next group to join.

Tommy,
I will try and post a link to a live feed later but otherwise as Andy says.

Andy,
I would log in an hour early and join the pen at least 15m beforehand

LBHIFI might join in. Drafting will be the best way to aid speed. Yesterday was the first time I could actually feel and see the numbers between being in front and drafting behind someone. I dont know if it was just the speed I was travelling or luck, but I was able to ease off and stick on the wheel of the rider in front.

Good luck today. I'll hop on if I'm around at that time. I'll be doing a 90 min over under TrainerRoad session so probably not much help most of the time.

It does work, perhaps not like in real life but enough to suggest best to hang in for dear life,
Hopefully see you on the course ta some point today:smile:

Brixton cycles too busy.

Ha! With google everyone thinks they are a lawyer now!

Guy is here now. Has expressed some surprise at the set up and is now busy with his Park tools.
I think I am going to do a bike mechanics course
Must admit I'm really glad that I have a chap called Colin Gardener nearby ... He is a former British Cycling head mechanic, and what he doesn't know about bikes can be written on the back of a small postage stamp, with space to spare!! He gets all my repairs Roadie, both commuters and the tandem, and he's going to be swapping the tandem over to straight bars for me in the future.

Sorry Andy, got to get back to work. I initially planned to do just 20 min. thresshold, and was just about to quit when I saw you in that next group. So decided to do 20 min. more. I was so time crunched I never saw how long the event was. How long was it?

I joined Cat C with a few minutes to go and ended up right at the back of a 199 strong peleton :banghead: Had to burn a lot to get up with the front group - first 2 mins I was at max, as were most other people. Don't know about Cat B and A races, but C guys went off like the clappers :B)

Was in first 5 or so over fits 8km. Got to the hill and I ended up 64th  Kept at it though, worked with various groups and finished on the road 23rd. I could see a few C's above me with w/kg higher than 3.4 so I'll likely get promoted even higher :wahhey:

@CXRAndy sorry i couldn't help you more. i finished my 2 laps and went back in for a warm down. I didn't have much left in the legs but I thought I'd try to join you and try to let you draft the last bit of energy from my legs and give you a bit of a rest. Didn't really work though - kept shooting past you and I figured I may have been doing more harm than good so I let you crack on. Hope you did well :okay:
