well done all
i had no intention of doing the whole race really - just wanted to give Bob a scare  but that idea went out the window when everybody hared off - so i couldn't do one fast lap and clear off so i decided to try just going round as long as i could just keeping heartrate at a sane 140-145 and as it happened i managed the whole way ! wasnt in any group at all but it was nice picking a few off
am i right in thinking that when you look at the map on the right . the blue dots are your so called chums disappearing into the distance ^_^
all in all i can't complain . still not 100% ( ive been ill you know - but i kept it to myself !)
least i have earnt a curry tonight ! may go over the 10st again :hyper:

Curry? Me too and lots of beer.
Zpower results below. Or even above.
I really need to work on my core and back strength/ mobility. My back went long before the legs wanted to give up and they gave out earlier because I spent too much time out of the saddle trying to take pressure off my coxic bone. Frigging old age.

I can't believe the front group went on in that pace for 90 km. I got my second best ever 20 min. power on that first 20 min, stint.

I would normally go off hard for a 20 mile race, but I was caught out. There were 200 nutters sprinting off the line. Our group were doing quite well collecting those who couldn't keep up from the main front pack, until the same happened to me. Zwift also said I had my best times in the first 30 mins

Interesting looking at my first lap times- well, to me^_^ lots of pb’s but speed eases just before end of lap. At that point we were even sending messages to each other about when we would be able to breathe! In fact speed eases so much the first lap is slower by nearly 2 mins than lap set in zsun training.
Also, interested that people, complete strangers, try to control the group by message with one guy saying “ we don’t need no heroes”. My response “not a Bowie fan then?” Got lots of laughs.

Nice one - 215W for 2.28 hrs is very good.

I did join you mid way through, but I was in my warm up so you and the group sped off into the distance - I did then try and catch it briefly but realised it would wreck my training session so I waved you goodbye :hello:

What is your next mission? ^_^

Yes, but as I became more fatigued, it became mentality easier. I have about a week to go on my TR block.

Zwift is more of a problem to keep a steady power. Too many riders either chasing or you are catching up to resist the temptation to push on.

I have one more hard session to finish week 5 - then a recovery week. I agree about Zwift - the red mist keeps coming down

Yes i just can't do it, ive had to drop my high volume plan i was 3 weeks into it, but i found the 2 hour sessions really hard and i found it it extremely uncomfortable on the arse, so im on mid volume now

Agreed - I always do the mid volume plan. 90 minutes of over/unders kills me enough.

On my way home from my workplace today, I got my butt digitized and picked up a new saddle just for turboing. Those turbo session are really tough for the behind :surrender:.

A digitised butt sounds a lot worse than saddle sores.. which saddle did you go for Lars?

Always a place for another in my collection..
