If you feel that way (Which seems to be along the lines that I feel too?), why not just start from next month and let this month play out? You’ve put in all the graft this month already.
I did think of that, but as I think you said yourself you wouldn’t want to win in similar circumstances. I gave it my best on the night in the meet ups...I was just better warmed up, better rested plus I knew the courses for the solo efforts meet up events. Seriously I’d prefer that I go off my original meet up times. Plus as you guys said we don’t need a whole pile of rules to be policed as its all a bit of fun and light hearted competition so honesty is the best policy.

Was going to do flat 4 lap race of London at 4:10 but bike didn’t feel right in warm up , i wasn’t sure if it was bike or trainer at first , it felt like a slipping as you put power down. Checked belt and it had started to break so messed about putting spare on and getting tension calibrated. To test it I thought it might be a good idea to try the Muir and the Mountain route , I haven’t done it before , it’s definitely a testing route and should be a good battle for you guys going for winning the league . Won’t be riding the meet-up till Thurs , if I end up with no one to race I’ll just try and beat today’s time.

I'm no expert on ERG mode because every time I've used it in workouts I hate it so avoid it if I can. But how would it necessarily make you faster? You still have to do the watts don't you - it just affects the way the resistance works doesn't it? You can also put the difficulty slider to zero and maintain pretty even resistance I guess? (Also not something I've done). I'd have thought having to maintain the watts in ERG mode could be a disadvantage to getting micro rests on descents and attacking the steepest sections, but I'd be interested to know if I'm missing something?

P.S.Whatever the answer I think using ERG mode in a race or TT would be against the spirit of the racing so shouldn't be allowed
It puts a gun to your head so you won’t back off the power ever & you can keep tapping out a powerful rhythm without the feeling of changing terrain blowing you up. I just thought I’d mention it for fun but I’d see it as cheating.

Stage Four Preview - Muir and the Mountain
Zwift Insider Route description - https://zwiftinsider.com/muir-and-the-mountain/

Spawn site And Lead in
I tried three test meet ups and each time I spawned by the starting pens near Titans Grove. FYI...On the third test event I increased the event distance and still spawned at the same place.

It looks like a very short lead in to the start of the Zwift Insider verified segment so a warm up pre race will be a good idea as I expect the pace to be hot hot hot 🔥

I didn’t ride to the start but Zwift Insider reports no official start banner so we will need to decide if we do a short neutralised lead in to the turn for titans grove or just go from the gun? I would suggest the short lead in to make sure no one is sleeping.

Fantastic preview - thank you for this!

With regards to rules - I think we have a good group who seem to police ourselves. It isn’t the most highly regulated league, but common sense seems to prevail. For what it’s worth - I love the format of two meet-ups a week and have benefited from the option to “catch up” on a stage too (sometimes life gets in the way of Zwift!). It isn’t a perfect playing field but it’s still good fun.

Isn’t there an abundance of more highly regulated leagues/events on Zwift/Zwiftpower for those who require it?!

Yeah there’s lots of leagues and series run by bigger teams on Zwift. This is a great group with good community spirit. Until Zwift allow smaller private races then we make do with setting and policing ourselves. 👍

TT stage: 17:03.

Putting in a massive dose of zone 2 is a bit of an experiment for me. I didn’t feel any fitter doing the TT but did notice a slightly lower HR. Also recorded slightly lower rest HR at 45.
A weekend of recovery didn’t seem to be enough for me, since my legs still felt tired. I had to take a few breaks along the way.

I’ll continue my CTL build, despite, with zone 2 rides and hope it will eventually enable me to take it to a new level.

so on reflection @peterob please don’t count my times set yesterday- I’d rather they don’t count. I had the same opportunity and disadvantages as everyone else at the first time of asking and I could have ridden the second meet up but didn’t. Sorry that screws up the table. I think that puts me about a minute behind the leaders - I’ve got the stage times if you need them.👍
Are you sure you don't want your weekend time to count Al? I think your previous time was 1:00:32.

Anyone else having a bout of conscience and want their times adjusting?
