So how come you don't have rest weeksLike Martin said the perceived wisdom is you only get stronger with rest. Do a block and get some rest.
The older you get then allow for even more rest.

I'm considering it. I was thinking of having a rest day and doing stage 5 again tomorrow instead - but noting the above 👆 I'm starting to think I should MTFU and just go for it tonight after all!
I'm kind of with Bob, and disagree with everyone else in thinking that New York stage was quite a good one. I agree with not liking the look of it and the glass roads, but I don't think I really take so much notice of that kind of thing as some do. I just think the mix of terrain was good and makes for a good race course. It was horribly unpleasant as well of course, but all the stages were and that was down to the effort rather than the graphics for me. I'm tempted to give it another go - will see how I feel when I'm warming up. If not it'll be one of these cheeky zone 2's that are so good for usYou could look at it another way. If you race today you’ll have more rest days before the next stage opens On Saturday. And you’ve put up a time on stage 5 already so you have that cushion. I don’t think I’ll redo stage 5 myself. I agee with bob it is probably a very good work out. But it’s also a most unpleasant one, so I think I’ll either look for another race or maybe just have a spin ( In zone’s 1 & 3 obviously 😄)

Maybe you can do it via the companion app?I use Apple TV so no short cuts , will have to have a google 😀
Cheers for reply’s though

I did check that no one else had agreed with him before I posted that 👍There’s an un written rule that 2 people can’t agree with bob in the space of 24 hours. So I’m afraid I have to disagree on principle!
