Sleights Moor by the looks of it!

Just outside Sleights. Came up Blue bank, that's a pretty decent climb 25% max.

When we were about to get onto the beach at Whitby, a youngish bloke walked down past us with his bike. I asked if he'd done tbe C2C- he had over 2 days. His family were photographing his entrance into the north sea.:okay:

See red line of him leaving the beach

I've been away from the forum for a bit - hope everyone's OK

I see the ZRL returns on 28th September - I'd be up for entering a team I think if we can get the numbers together again? (if this has been discussed in detail already, apologies - just point me in the right direction!)

I'm just recvering from a bad back and for a number of reasons I haven't been on the bike much recently so I will be very rusty to say the least - but hopefully 28th September gives enough time to at least start to get fit again!

So who's up for it?
Well the CCC team have all pretty much agreed to take part in another season on our private thread, so we'll certainly be continuing to fly the flag for this forum. The only question we have is whether @Joffey will start with us and then get promoted to one of the Cat B teams later, or whether he'll already back in B before the first flag drops!

Of course anyone who is a Cat C/D rider who is not already part of any team is very welcome to join us - we always need more fresh blood racers in the squad and you don't even have to ride every week. I for one will only be able to take part in 2-3 races this time round due to no longer working from home.

We've had a few days up in North Yorkshire. I'd remembered the steepness of some of the hills, like Sutton Bank at 25% gradient. Yesterday though having a trip to Whitby, we were driving back and the wife wanted to go through the village where Heartbeat was filmed (Goathland) . I took a wrong turn and found this monster of a hill

Part of this climb is signposted as part of the C2C to Whitby That's just mean :heat:

I think Randy came up this way on his tour of Britain :okay:
Yes. I am looking for my picture of 25%.
Edit: found it. And the original jersey

Ha I live near Sutton bank (9miles)! Most people head up white horse bank or Boltby bank (tough) though. Hope you enjoyed the moors 👍🏻

I can also see there might be a split in terms of what people want to spend. So another option is that we design a jersey. But then get it produced by more than one company so people have a choice between an expensive and a cheaper alternate. The only problem with this could be not hitting the quota for order size from some manufacturers
That’s where Paria is a good option. You can order indefinitely etc

Anyone doing the wtrl classic today? I've been placed in c4 again and seems to be the same lineup as last week which should be fun

I've "Joined" Western Europe and been placed in C4 (Feck! :cursing::cursing::cursing:)

For some reason, however, half the events are not showing on zwiftpower

Same!

Yeah zwiftpower struggling. Andrew Issac's won 4/5 sprints and the race last week so he's one to watch

Just had what I think is pretty damn good service from SRAM.

My Powertap Pedals stopped calibrating on my Garmin a month or so ago. They were nearly 2 years old. I contacted SRAM Support and they tried a few things then said contact who you bought it from. I went to Wiggle - and they gave me the direct line to Powertap ("Powertap are a fantastic brand and stand behind the quality and performance of their products. Before we advise to return back to us its worth noting that you can send the item for repair directly and you will skip the queues at wiggle as the process will ensure you receive your item back with a much quicker turnaround.")

I sent them off and today received a brand new set of pedals complete with a set of the cleats you need (they are specific to Powertap Pedals so you have to buy them).

I haven't tried them yet, but assuming they work - I am highly impressed :okay:

@Aleman odd race wasn't it? Think you missed a spilt early on, a guy dropped a burrito in front of me and dropped half the field (and himself). A couple of us managed to sprint on.

Legsnapper whittled field down to 5 plus one lapped rider who was on the same team as 2 of the 5. They later dropped back to be fair to the team but it wrecked the race. Some good shithousery chat though.

Finished 2nd on points and time (points winner destroyed field in first sprint and dropped back after a while.) Wouldn't have been a fair win anyway.

How do you find the new way of setting cat boundary’s? I’ve not really paid much attention to how it works
