Quite a bit of speculation that the new Neokyo part of Yumezi is going to drop in a Zwift update on Wednesday. Be prepared for updates if you're logging on at the last moment for a race!

Although it's nice to have some new roads to ride, I'm not terrifically excited by new flat routes, however pretty they look. Hopefully there are some lumps on the new bit of map...

Hopefully the visuals aren't going to be so spectacular that my graphics card goes into meltdown.

Just had a go at mountain route,thought I had missed the radio tower,I was delighted about that when I got to the top of epic kom because I wasn't feeling great,then all of a sudden,sharp left and radio tower in upper right of screen,a little downhill,lovely,and then booom...14%....enjoyed it,missed opportunity for 100km/h on the way back down,gave some power to get going,then freewheeled up to 75km/h,then gave it beans and could not get passed 98km/h...realised after that I was still in small ring...will have to revisit but work will be in the way for the rest of the week

Anybody else experiencing Zwift app and companion app weirdness in the past 24 hours?

The companion app starts and when I begin riding the map temporarily displays then after about 1 second the map screen disappears and I have no option to use the companion app to text or take screenshots etc. It is like the app is not recognising I am in a Zwift session. If I do not touch the screen the backlight turns off like the companion app is idle.

Also on a long group ride yesterday up ADZ (which I did without the working companion app to my frustration), the main zwift app crashed when I came back through the KOM banner and began my descent. When I say crashed, I mean like totally froze and the graphics on the screen became corrupted. I had to use the remote to kill the app. When I finally got it back up and running and started a new test ride, zwift recognised a previous session that was not saved and I said YES return me to the ride but the same crash thing happened immediately. The zwift servers saved the ride up to that point on my activities along with 2 duplicate entries.

Makes me think the problem is with the main zwift app - I am running ATV which although I have experienced a couple of issues with in the past, had been pretty stable for me. I tried again this morning and have the same issue with the companion app not recognising I am in a session or at least kicking me out of it after 1 second then the map disappearing, etc.

Am about to go onto the Zwift forums and have a look but thought i would blurb it all out here incase anybody else is having similar issues?

Still - hopefully this thread may give people a heads up if they are thinking it is just them - it isn't! No update from ZWIFT on this for over 2 days now, disappointingly but their latest companion app version is obviously the problem.

The crashing/freezing thing when descending ADZ is also an ongoing issue - exact same thing happened to me several days ago. I think it was a bug brought in with the last update and I'd have thought they would have fixed it by now but clearly not

@Peter Salt get Discord installed and join the CycleChat discord channel. We always use this during the weekly races in CCC and I assume the B guys do too. I'm not personally riding with CCC this week, but I will be watching the race and talking to them via discord. It's a CCC thing, but if not racing we volunteer to DS for the race.

Try to 'friend' us in Zwift. Then, from the companion app you should be able able to find us and 'fan view' when one of your friends is riding. Not always easy for races as you may have to join the race pen (or Pen E) to do that .... I'll find out how that works on Tuesday.

As Michael says though, this week it's a TTT so less fun as a pure spectator, but I'm sure the B or C teams would welcome extra encouragement on discord and it's a good way to see how each of us rides etc

It's a Team Time Trial tonight Peter - you'll have to try one some time! Some people hate them and some love them but they're kind of a unique racing experience and there's quite a bit of technique required to get it right and maximise your team's speed

Finished 6th last night, remain 3rd in the league overall. Barring a complete upset in the final event, looks like we will probably finish there as well (4 point gap to teams above and below us), which is an amazing result.
