Oh my gawd... You mean there's a harder climb on stage 3?Hang on...was that not the climbers course?

Once I could see I was getting to the KoM with you guys I knew I had to get over the top with you else I'd have dropped back like a brick, so had to work so hard to stay with you both. It was then only a matter of time before you dropped me, then it was a case of watching @Girafitti and hoping I could hold him off.Well done @berty bassett and @bridgy . Escaped up the road never to be seen.
Largish group behind gradually whittled down to 3 after @Girafitti was distanced, although great ride- you kept right behind for ages.
Then it was an A a B and C. Or maybe a C+?. Poor @Legs by far the most work with me and @Whorty drafting away. Had to attack as I knew it might have been only chance to drop Carl. Was hoping the finish line might be flat but when went uphill only one person taking that podium, well done Tim.
@Peter Salt how did you find it?
Oh the towerOh my gawd... You mean there's a harder climb on stage 3?
Thanks ... enjoyed the company but I was in the red that second lap. I was trying to do a pull every now and then but just had nothing left. Once you gaped me I was a gonnaFeeling a bit knackered this evening but that was a lot of fun. Well done Lee and Paul - once you got that gap, there was no stopping you! In spite of what Michael says, I was having a hard time staying with him and Carl, and was secret pleased when we managed to get a gap to the Super C…
That last section to the tower after you've done the epic KOM is genuinely one of my least favourite parts of Zwift- it goes on for EVEROh the tower![]()
I saw you go off the front and thought .... that's brave mateThat finish line was just EVIL
It was also nice that non of you could catch me for the first 20 metres until my fat legs gave way...![]()
That's a fair point- will have a think about whether to make it shorter or choose an alternative route - because a descent as well as a climb can be exciting as lighter riders can sometimes get caught on descents if they haven't stretched out too big a lead...I think we may have to re-jig Stage 3 slightly. That map doesn't include the lead-in, which is the same as the last 5km of the map (e.g. uphill). I'd estimate that this route would take me about 1 hour 45 minutes to complete, which isn't realistic for me to do after getting home from work and jumping straight on the bike - for one thing I wouldn't get anything to eat until almost 10pm. Maybe we could cut the stage short and have a finish line at the top of the Epic KOM?
I think we may have to re-visit that course as it's gonna be a late finish for some and could be lonely for everyone for most of the ride. Much more fun having others around ... no?Hang on...was that not the climbers course?
Edit; this is the climbers course

Maybe something on the new world of Neokyo? No one knows that world too well yet, so could make it really interesting and it's more rolling so little groups should form keeping everyone interested in the ride. That's a fair point- will have a think about whether to make it shorter or choose an alternative route - because a descent as well as a climb can be exciting as lighter riders can sometimes get caught on descents if they haven't stretched out too big a lead...
