Fun wasn't the word for that but there is definitely a place for a TT isn't there? Just a totally different pain.

Well done the organisers and congrats to everyone, really cracking race series in the end. 4 Races feels about right to allow rivalries to develop without going on too long.

Well done @Legs - I knew I couldn't live with your blistering start so tried to ignore it and hope that you'd fade a bit later. Tried to pace with those around me until the climb then Emptied the tank a bit and took a chunk out of the gap but was never going to have enough to power through after that. Had @CXRAndy giving tough love at a point which I think I needed.

Best 20 min Watts 298 so fairly sure I couldn't have changed much pacing wise. I still surged a fair bit with more effort on the climbs.

Congrats @berty bassett on the series win!
Agreed ^_^

Great fun racing with you guys - hope we can do again

Feel a little sick. xx(

Might not have been wise to eat that portion of chips on the way home from the vaccination centre.
That was closer than I thought. Strategy was to push in the second half and it worked. Not enough power though and the laws of physics were against me today, unlike at Innsbruck ;)

Does anyone want me to post the provisional GC results? Not sure if people will complain if it gives those still to ride a better idea of what times they need to aim for or not.
Yeah, go ahead as far as I'm concerned.

Congrats @berty bassett for the flawless victory.

Once again, thank you @bridgy for organising.

And thank you @CXRAndy for your words of encouragement. Definitely helped, especially up the KOM.

A little victory of my own:

My strategy (as much as there was one) was the complete opposite. Go out at just over FTP for the first five minutes to see if I could get a gap, then hold a steady pace until the climb, at which point I'd see how much was left in the legs.

Which worked well until about 5 minutes before the climb when I realised I would have to ease off, or have nothing left for the hill itself. Knowing Peter was going to eat into my lead massively once we started to go uphill, I backed off slightly and watched the gap get whittled down bit by bit! Eventually it hit just 15 seconds at the KOM banner, but I was able to then extend it slightly again with the downhill and flat to the finish.

Well done guys - looks like some very close finishes!

Not close to @berty bassett though - great ride mate, you're a machine!! @<Tommy> I really want you to have a go and see if you can beat Lee's time!
Thanks for organising Paul :okay:

Bloody hard work trying to stay as close as possible to @Girafitti :B)

I think I prefer rides where I can sit on wheels and draft

Well done everyone! Thanks for pushing me so hard, especially Paul and Michael. I paced it like a Tempus Fugit TT rather than a long effort, and I died a thousand deaths around the 25 minute mark and was clinging on to my gradually-diminishing margin over @mjd1988. Nonetheless I’m pleased with my ride because I’d been expecting to be pedalling squares tonight.

Many thanks to @bridgy for organising and @steverob for collating the results.
