Anyway, bollocks to cycling posts, it’s Saturday night.

The Chisora Parker fight was brilliant! It was like a Rocky film. Well worth me not paying to watch it.

At the last count 7 cans have been consumed. Harry (the chihuahua) is still sleeping on the bench next to me so I’ll probably drink the 8th and final can and head to bed.

The coach has moved my ULTIMATE POWER test to Wednesday so I’ll do the TT tomorrow afternoon and then take legitimate rest days

Rode outside today, it was hard. I blame the booster.

Having steak pie for tea tomorrow. No beer.

I missed the fight. Got a sore arm though. Can’t of been throwing haymakers in my sleep or the missus would of thrown one back! So either it’s the repetitive strain of lifting the spritzers to my mouth, or the ill effects of this here booster! Although if it’s just a sore arm I’m going to suffer then I’ve gotten off lightly so I’ll take it.

I watched the boxing on YouTube this morning - very good
I also watched a clip of them both after the fight sharing burgers and talking - really good to see such sportsmanship after they had just been clobbering each other

I saw that on Instagram - a nice touch. Chisora seems like a nice bloke - and he isn't retiring he says!

Yeah you could tell from the very first episode that they were never going to take “Diesel” Sam. That may well have been the right decision if he wasn’t the sort of rider they wanted, but he was kind of wasting his efforts if he’d known that he stood zero chance.

completely agree. Everything he did was framed negatively, even when he smashed the field at Richmond by escaping solo twice(!) They were annoyed that he ruined the race for everyone else. Clearly they need to say - this year we want a puncheur. He also commented on YouTube that they didn't explain that he had never ridden a European set up on brakes before (must be switched in Australia) and so every time he braked going downhill he had to recheck himself. The guy who won probably deserved it as much but it was embarrassing how much they discounted Sam.
