I can round down to the nearest kg, right?
That's around 3.5kg in 2.5 months which is a bit slower than I wanted. But hey, it included Christmas![]()
multiple collar bone break, i had a lot of issues getting the nhs to do anything and ended up going private to get it fixed,Not been on the road or work since mid nov and only had it fixed last week where they said the joint hadnt healed so i have been coping with a dangling shoulder for 2 months and now face another couple getting right. Also, @cyberknight if this helps, I had prostate surgery in June 2020. I had plenty of time during lockdown in the weeks prior that I built up to the fittest I'd ever been. I later found out that the fact I'd got really fit was extremely helpful in a quick and complete recovery (as well a strictly following the instructions - 6 weeks with no cycling aferwards hurt but I stuck to it). A year later to the exact day, I rode a ton with club mates and now fitter and lighter than I was before surgery. No idea what you had done, but hopefully it will only be a small bump in the journey.![]()
Sorry to hear that. Glad you've had it fixed. How long before you can get back on a bike indoors?multiple collar bone break, i had a lot of issues getting the nhs to do anything and ended up going private to get it fixed,Not been on the road or work since mid nov and only had it fixed last week where they said the joint hadnt healed so i have been coping with a dangling shoulder for 2 months and now face another couple getting right.
pre injury i was commuting every day then a metric century club/solo ride on a sunday along with 3-4 imperial century rides a year
My collar bone break couldn't be operated on so I had to wait for it to heal itself. The break was to close to the ball joint and no room to plate it.multiple collar bone break, i had a lot of issues getting the nhs to do anything and ended up going private to get it fixed,Not been on the road or work since mid nov and only had it fixed last week where they said the joint hadnt healed so i have been coping with a dangling shoulder for 2 months and now face another couple getting right.

Lesson here is stay away from the velodrome. My collar bone break couldn't be operated on so I had to wait for it to heal itself. The break was to close to the ball joint and no room to plate it.
I still get some pain in it when the weather is cold and damp, some 5 years after I broke it.
The newly titled "CCC Team Splitters" (to try and stay on-brand) may have finished 2nd overall tonight according to provisional scores, which is a fantastic result if it holds up.
@IrishAl was our leader, finishing 2nd overall, winning two sprints and possibly getting 3rd on FTS as well. We also got a handful of sprint points from @JLaw too.
Amazingly somehow I managed to hang on to the lead group all the way to the end and finished 28th (my best ZRL result ever), only 4 seconds behind the winner - though to be fair, my tactic was to completely ignore the sprints and instead put the power down after the line to ensure I stayed with the leaders, which did work quite well. I did give it a try on the penultimate lap sprint but even with a power up I could only manage 14th.
The remaining places were as follows: @Joffey 37th, @Johnsop99 43rd, @JLaw 49th and @CXRAndy 52nd (out of 77 finishers).
Still got my stage 3 head onI hear stage 4 is for the gravel bikers ?
Has everyone else got a gravel bike ? I just squandered all my drops on disc wheels ( bloody typical )
Guess I am gonna get stuffed then !
When is everyone doing it - will try and tag along
