Dry Feb for me.

Anyone seen any good deals on winter kit? I guess most places are going to be looking to shift winter kit so they can get spring/summer stuff in but haven’t seen many good deals around?

Looking at my ride, TDZ S8

I think I'm in need of some Z1/2 endurance to bolster my power. Spring not too far away. In the meantime

Should have booked a trip with Carl

I think you might of missed the boat Nick. The January sales would of been your best bet for really big discounts.

What are you after specifically and have you got a budget in mind?

I will do TdZ S8 today and probably ride most of a time Z2 maybe close Z3 and KOM:s harder. I hope I can repeat all 3 KOM:s same effort. Yesterday I ride 2 laps of France Casse-Pattes route. Last round i pushed Petit KOM harder, it felt exhausted to climb that hill 3,11W/kg :heat:

I was supposed to ride at 190W on Friday when I did TdZ Stage 8. I stretched it a bit, averaging 201W but pushed a bit harder on the first 2 climbs and a lot harder on the third one. 5:48, 5:30 and 4:43.

Another build week coming up. One of the sessions looks a bit gnarly

I was planning to ride outside this afternoon, but Wendy is out walking the dog and WhatsApp'd me to say it is too windy - so I plan to do WeDu Suffer Sunday at 2pm if anyone is interested. The route is the Four Horsemen. I'll be looking to average c190W at 2.7w/kg.

I went out for a tootle on my ebike, weighing 35kg. I was blown all over the road. Stay on Zwift today:okay:

Bugger!

Looking for a long sleeve jersey for spring/autumn or winter layered with a base layer and/or soft shell jacket as needed. Budget £60 but would stretch to £80 if it’s a top brand like Rapha/Castelli. Want it stretchy. A lot of the winter garments seem to be looser fitting?!

And some winter gloves. Hands have a tendency to get cold and it’s miserable! I would wear these on the road and on turbo during warmup.

Maybe I will get something from Decathlon - a lot of my other clothing comes from there. I find the higher end Van Rysel stuff has a good fit and a bit cheaper than other own brands from Wiggle and Evans.

Completed TdZ Stage 8 in 1:37:29 today @IrishAl (https://zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=2674543)

Felt great, and more like my normal racing self. Comfortable on the climbs and enjoying the, gaining places. Then struggling to stay with any group on the flat. A very normal racing experience for me! 🙂

Three climbs were 5:03, 5:20 and 6:09 according to Zwift leaderboard.

Surprised the final was as slow as that - didn’t feel like I’d fallen apart so thought I’d post a decent time on it to be honest.

Have a look on galibier.cc or lusso.bike

They normally have some clearance or sale stuff. UK companies.

I have a couple of bits of galibier stuff and it's pretty good for the price.

I've got their mistral jacket which I wear when it's about 0c with a short sleeve base layer, if it's colder than a long sleeve base layer. If it's going to be over 5c, I don't wear it as it'll be too warm for me.

Regarding gloves, get a pair of silk liner gloves, they make a load of difference
