The Tog24 McKenzie gloves I bought about 15 years ago were unsurpassable for comfort and warmth. They were ski gloves, but not too bulky so you could do things like getting keys out of back pockets without having to take them off.

Felt great, and more like my normal racing self. Comfortable on the climbs and enjoying the, gaining places. Then struggling to stay with any group on the flat. A very normal racing experience for me! 🙂

Great news mate 👍

You know next season you’re either going to have to race for the team, or leave the country to avoid my nagging right?

Just thought I’d let you know up front 😄👍

Bugger!

Looking for a long sleeve jersey for spring/autumn or winter layered with a base layer and/or soft shell jacket as needed. Budget £60 but would stretch to £80 if it’s a top brand like Rapha/Castelli. Want it stretchy. A lot of the winter garments seem to be looser fitting?!

And some winter gloves. Hands have a tendency to get cold and it’s miserable! I would wear these on the road and on turbo during warmup.

Maybe I will get something from Decathlon - a lot of my other clothing comes from there. I find the higher end Van Rysel stuff has a good fit and a bit cheaper than other own brands from Wiggle and Evans.
Have you looked in the Archive sale section of Rapha's website? There's some discounted long sleeve jerseys & winter jackets on there if you can find a colour you like in your size https://www.rapha.cc/gb/en/archive-sale/category/archive?q=gender:Mens

I was planning to ride outside this afternoon, but Wendy is out walking the dog and WhatsApp'd me to say it is too windy - so I plan to do WeDu Suffer Sunday at 2pm if anyone is interested. The route is the Four Horsemen. I'll be looking to average c190W at 2.7w/kg.

Just took my daughters aged 12 & 9 out for a bike ride , wind wasn't too bad the problem was the rain ☔... 🙄

EDIT : Now back home watching the Volta la Communitat Valencianna on GCN+.... Weather looks lovely there... ☀ 👍

Quite enjoyed that. The "task" is to get to the top of Alpe du Zwift within the 2.5 hour time slot of the ride. There are 2 beacons so decent blobs form.

The climbs are the Kom, Volcano Kom, Epic Kom and Radio Tower, Alpe du Zwift. Ended up doing my second best time up ADZ and beating the time target. Good banter and quite engaging. This is Lance's mob (WeDu) but I think he only rides the Wednesday events.
