I found that all the 'big' stages were at the weekend so they are the ones I've missed.

I need to do stage 2 (Alpe) to complete the badges and then stage 6 and 8 for the league

I'll definitely do stage 2, not sure on the others as depends on the wife and if I need to cook etc..

Quite enjoyed that. The "task" is to get to the top of Alpe du Zwift within the 2.5 hour time slot of the ride. There are 2 beacons so decent blobs form.

The climbs are the Kom, Volcano Kom, Epic Kom and Radio Tower, Alpe du Zwift. Ended up doing my second best time up ADZ and beating the time target. Good banter and quite engaging. This is Lance's mob (WeDu) but I think he only rides the Wednesday events.
Well done Martin - a 2.5 hour ride in the real world is not really a big deal, but I find that kind of ride time on the turbo much more challenging, both physically and mentally so well done for sticking with it!

Cheers Paul. I agree it is harder on the turbo which is why I like this kind of "event" to engage my brain. Did my best 3 hour power average for the last 18 months surprisingly. Rest day today

I'm going to aim to get my Masochist badge for climbing the Alpe 25 times by the end of April, which means 11 more ascents - about 1 per week. Hopefully I'll have built a bit of fitness back by then, so a PB would be an added bonus.

I'm getting my laptop back tomorrow, and we made a good start yesterday on tidying out the outbuilding ready for Zwiftage. There is still a big 1970s sofa-bed in there that's going onto next weekend's bonfire, and I need to find somewhere to put the 4 tents and the 60' marquee...

If I was writing a structural report on it, I would probably say that the outbuilding needs underpinning on the corner where we took out a big ash tree ten years ago, but I think we'll end up putting heli-bars in instead and repointing.

Nice idea (Matt, not Peter). We're quite clayey where we are (close to the Potteries), so it's most likely caused by the soil moisture variation and exacerbated by die-back of the ash roots. Geobear say that polymer injection is good for clay shrinkage, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Certainly don't want to do it on insurance claim - our premium is bad enough without having to declare subsidence!

I just meant if you could nab some off site, but guess you'd need the gear to inject at pressure.

They'll claim anything, but it's fairly obvious you need better permeability than you get in clay for a polymer to be effective!

Outbuildings are meant to have cracks in them anyway, adds character.:okay:

"It takes quite a lot for one brick to actually fall off the top of another" is one of my stock phrases.

This is one of the best I've come across so far. This one did at least warrant taking down and rebuilding...
