Scoring wise, its difficult, but maybe a 5 min penalty or 10% ish for non completed events. It would be an incentive to complete every event. I may regret saying this for possible future CC leagues  for anyone who takes on the scoring. ^_^

I suppose it's always going to be difficult to get it spot on, but I agree that 2 minutes probably isn't quite enough penalty if someone completing only 3 stages can beat someone who did all 8 . Obviously it's a balance to try and get as many people involved as possible without being rigid (ooeerr). I suppose it depends on the gap between fastest and slowest riders.

Having said that, it's easy to be clever with 20:20 hindsight. The difference on stage 2 between fastest and slowest was 38 minutes.

Regardless of all that, I really enjoyed it all. Thanks @IrishAl for running it. :okay:^_^

Thanks @IrishAl - great job on the tables 👍

What are we doing next? How long left of ZRL and how long is the gap between seasons??
Three more stages left of the current ZRL including tomorrow, so it finishes on 8th March.

Not sure when the next one will begin - the gaps between seasons seems to be a bit random.

In terms of what to do next, we had discussed the Rhino Racing Series which is teams that can be mixed categories and has some interesting race formats - https://www.rhinoracing.club/rhino-...b3-eL6881U10WqzzajO8NkonqIzK_fS2j_J9whenIC_Ns . Runs from 15th March to 1st April. Don't know if the timings will suit enough people though (always the problem with these series!) - the stages are at 6.30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays. Teams of 8, but only top 6 score so we could have teams where certain people can only do the Tuesday or the Friday if that worked out. Maybe we need to get some feedback to see who's up for and available for that, and see if there's enough for either 1 or 2 teams?

Other series are available of course if that one won't work.

Then we also have the Clubs function so we can set up our own events - and they'll be proper races with proper finish lines this time!

That is exactly why I targeted my missing stage 2 over the others I missed. The gap on stage 2 was the greatest meaning a reasonable time would see the greatest gains for the GC time and a small improvement for points.

I found the weekend rides the hardest to fit in around the irl rides.

Thanks Al, that is a great effort on the spreadsheets. I think It may be worthy of a minor thread for posting results, so you or anyone else doesn't have to trawl through pages finding results. :okay:

On a personal note, pleased to be mid table, fitness has come along nicely in the month of January. Looking back I might have been able to sneak an extra point from the odd event.

Fortunately I'm absolutely terrible with Excel.

Yeah Id agree with a bigger "punishment" for missing stages- especially for this type of event where there are literally loads of options, feel a bit of a fraud for doing well in GC having missed the lionshare

That said it's a bit of fun and not an actual race series so probably not worth overthinking it
