Will be interesting to see what this does the racing. Long range attacks could become more common in some of the lower categories (

In theory, those who have been cruising in the pack waiting for a final sprint (like @mjd1988 and @Whorty tend to) are likely to face a real struggle holding onto a pack where nobody is trying to keep their power down. Long range attacks could become more common
I'm so looking forward to getting myself back on Zwift... It's been a month since my last proper ride...

I've been tinkering with internet setup in my outbuilding, now it's been cleared out a bit... With powerline adaptors, I can get a stable connection in there, but the download speed is only 1.5-2.5 Mbps which is a bit pants! Zwift avatars run quite smoothly, but a few of the jerseys go orange from time to time, their power data drops out, and their names go "NVALID"...

The outbuilding is only 5m from the closest part of the house, where I can get 37Mbps download on Wi-fi. Could I get Wi-fi into the outbuilding with a mesh Wi-fi setup? I don't fully understand what that would entail...

Our router is unfortunately not very accessible for running a wired Ethernet connection, though we have a Cat 6 Ethernet cable to the back of the TV, so as a last resort I think I could put a network switch on that cable, take an armoured Ethernet cable out of the front wall of the house and dig a 15m-long trench around the house and across the drive into the outbuilding...

Oh, and I need to shift this chest infection, too
Powerline adapters take a big hit in performance when they have to cross circuits/rings in the property and when they’re on extension leads.

If you’re using any extension leads for them then I’d suggest that you take those out of the equation first and re-test!

I have a Powerline which is plugged into a wall socket and it seems to perform pretty well. I find I have to turn it on and off fairly regularly to keep it sweet.

My experience seems closer to Martins. My modem is in the ground floor. But I have power line adapters on the 1st and 2nd floors (3 different rings) and they work perfectly.

bailed on a club social zwift ride just now , i have hit the alpe 3 days in a row plus other rides and i feel pretty crap atm , headache , indegestion and legs like jelly so i need to tone it down a bit !
I dont know how old you're cyber? But with 3 races per week, I need two full days recovery before the next event. I could do more, but from experience know about cumulative fatigue.

Get some rest fella. Rest is what makes you faster, stronger

Since I've started racing less, I've got stronger. I used to race most timed I rode, so 4 sometimes 5 times a week ... and I was stuck in C and didn't seem to be getting stronger. Now I race once, sometimes twice a week but rarely, and in between I do longer C pave bot style rides. So I'm riding as much, just less intensity and seems to help me too (but then I'm also an old bugger  )

2 races a week is my sweet spot too. I feel wrecked if I try and race two days in a row

I've had mixed experience with powerline extenders. It worked well providing wifi in a detached garage where I used to have my Zwift set up, and getting broadband to tv and Apple TV. But lately I've had poor experience getting semi-decent wifi for working from home. I was thinking of a mesh system but wasn't sure if the investment was worth it. Just googled Tenda mesh and there's a 3 pack system on Amazon for £59 which seems a good price.

I've got TP-link 300 Mbaud powerline extenders from Virgin Super Hub to garage. I recently had some issues and swapped the surge-protected extension lead at the source end for a plain extension lead and the speed tripled. (It does say on the TP-Link site that surge protection can knacker the connection speed, but it had never been an issue until I started Zwifting and checked).

cyberknight - won't give you any advise as I believe everyone is different
I can only guess that you are taking on mountains due to your set up as gradient sort of means nothing on a dumb trainer and maybe it feels more comfortable for figures - I don't know
I am a bit older than you and I do what I want , I go on turbo or bike a few days a week , if I feel good I try pushing things , if I feel under par then I take it easy . I sometimes enter challenges where you have to race say 10 days in a row that I enjoy - but they screw me up for a few days after - the only bonus is that everyone in same events are in the same boat

do whatever you feel comfortable with , over do it and run the risk of going backwards but I am sure you know that - good luck

Whorty - at the risk of being moaned at again , it was obvious that you were B a fair while ago - as I said
you were in the same situation as a lot of Bs me included - pointless trying to outrun a blob so sit behind and save yourself - that is race tactics and you like racing
I try to up my limits and even though push myself further than I can actually maintain I got bumped as I didn't save myself - poor race tactics but good pushing ( though weight and size was a factor )
I believe you are in the right cat that will push you in the right blob and in turn make you stronger still

however - I still don't give a fig what you do
