I wouldn't be surprised if the trains aren't running on Monday tbh.
Probably cancelled because of the wrong sort of wind on the line (or something) ^_^

@Norry1 @Whorty have you seen the news about TOC and the date change - AGAIN!! Don't think I can make the new date unfortunately so I'm going to have to defer to 2023 I think. Amazing to think I paid for this in 2019!

Blimey - no I hadn't. Just got in from a ride and the email arrived when I was out.

Bit of a b#gger, it now clashes with the British Masters National Crit Championships.

Forecast says it could be a bit breezy down in these parts tomorrow, I think I'll leave the bike in the garage...

Crossing the Avonmouth Bridge might still be challenging in the car...

Could pick up some KOMs though...
One our young club members for a laugh got a 5 mile segment in very windy conditions. He averaged over 30mph with a tailwind on a flat road.

And I go skiing in Italy or Canada or Colorado when the whim strikes me. And I go to whatever exotic bike riding place I want and I buy A new bike whenever I see any dirt on my current one and....
You live in paradise ! I have to try and find a piece of it every now and then

Fellas, I'm looking at basic bike computers. The Garmin Edge 130 - I can connect HRM, speed, cadence sensors as well as a power meter (don't have that but still asking) to that, correct? Can you then export the ride files to 3rd party apps like Golden Cheetah?

Is it the Tenerife trip ?
There are a few times set up mount teide between us you know
If you do go up it , I would go up AND down the side with bends in it
One of the sides is damn near straight and even though I only went down this side , it was long boring and cold
Yes, the Tenerife trip .. fly out Saturday. I think the Teide climb is later in the week, so if I post a slow time it's only because my legs are already tired

I'm not looking for anything heroic up or down, just be nice to get a bit of warmth on the body and first holiday in over 4 years. I think your teide PB will be safe

Yes. YOu get the .FIT files directly on the device itself or can download .FIT, .GPX or .TCX from Garmin Connect.

You'll ride upto Vilaflor on Sunday, the day after your arrival. If the schedule stays the same, full ascent of Teide Tuesday, Thursday and Friday if feeling on good form.

The descent Berty is talking about, you go up on Tuesday. Its a lot nicer up than down. You come down the same way as my video-study where you can shave time:laugh: :headshake: Well not on your first go at least
