Was the shutter working before he put the phases in the correct order? It sounds like it was the way you described it. In which case it kind of was his fault in a round about way.
Yes they were working perfectly Tommy. I think he accidentally forced it beyond a mechanical point and loosened the cam wheel.

Thats my theory and Im sticking to it

It’s maybe worth looking a little further than that.

Firstly he should’ve done some cursory testing before he changed the DB. It’s just good practice really. And from his perspective it’ll stop nasty surprises later when he goes to re energise which saves him time in the long run so it’s for his benefit as much as yours. If he’d of done that he would of noticed the polarity was wrong and the outcome should of been different. But even if he misses that. Once he has re energised the DB and realised the phase rotation is wrong, knowing there are 3 phase circuits in the DB that were previously working normally it should of set off an alarm bell in his head. Not picking up on that has meant the motor is now working in reverse which has very likely caused the damage to the shutter. Thirdly, forgetting those first two chances to spot the problem, is he not supplying you a test cert? See what I’m getting at here? He should be testing all the outgoing circuits from the new DB. If he’d of done that then he would of picked up the reverse polarity there too. So really if I’m being brutally honest he’s not done his job remotely well there and it’s pretty basic stuff.
