I'm just going to stop reacting to changes until things settle lol.

All the confusion doesn't reflect very well on wtrl though

It’s a tough one isn’t it…

I won’t do anything different to be honest. I don’t see any point in intentionally slowing down to stay in a Cat boundary. Each to their own of course… but I think it’s sandbagging. And life’s too short for that shite. So what can you do…

None of the people behind me last night eased off. They were putting out 5 & 6w/kg to try and catch me in the end. And I love those battles more than anything. I know Al those guys by name as they know us. And it’s great when you go toe to toe like that again and again. I put out around 4.5w/kg up the hill last night so it’s not like I can complain.

In the end I think if jura win then they deserves it because they’ve been very strong competition. And if we win it then we can say that tactically we were the best. But either way I think we pretty much did everything we could of done so it’s all good really! It’s much worse when you feel like you could of done more isn’t it.

Looks as if Axam and Flynn have been 're-disqualified'... or that there's a glitch in the WTRL matrix and it's just showing the wrong edition of the results - they're still provisional. I think these are identical to the initally-published results, which makes me think it may be a WTRL fuck-up, rather than then changing their mind back. My FIN points have gone back up to 18, which is one more than I should have got... and which was shown correctly in the second set of results.

Ours are up and down like a whore's draws too. WTRL site is all over the place. We'll just have to wait until they're finalised. 😢

So in the end we finish level in points with Jura who won on the countback of finishing points. They had 30 more finishing points than us and even if Tommy had got his 29 points for 4th place last night, they still would have outscored us on finishing points (I know that would have meant us finishing ahead of them in the race but you get my point)

Whilst disappointing, this seems kind of justified in a way. The weighting of points in races to favour FTS for sprint segments - which we were able to exploit really well - always felt a bit unfair to me, despite our successes with it.

So it kind of feels fitting that the team who scored most highly for race finishing points did ultimately win out. Congrats to Jura, but still a massive well done to the Splitters team - some great teamwork which I think really came to a head in that Libby Hill race which we absolutely dominated!

On that note, in C, we were NOT top in finishing points or FTS or FAL... But still won due to other teams f-ups

C stands for consistent^_^. We had good races or excellent races.

Same for us really. Just that we had one other team that was equally consistent!

We came either 1st or 2nd in every race except for our 3rd place in the final one (which would have been first if Tommy hadn't been DQ'd). All the races we came second in were really fine margins too - the first race was by 5 points, and the other two were the TTTs when we were just 20 seconds off the leaders both times.

We scored 264 more points overall than the winning team, as we dominated the races we did win.

It was a close one!
