Haha, anyone remember that TV commercial, where a guy does all sort of extreme sports with no problems, then gets back home and a shelf falls on his head?

I have a similar story from yesterday. I was planning an outdoor ride, and my GF was quite worried because forecast was for thunderstorms. Anyways, did the ride alright, no issues whatsoever, came back home and had a fall in the bathroom. Lights out, lost consciousness, 6h in A&E, fractured cheek bone. Now it's kind of funny, but holy smokes, got a good scare.

Hope you have a quick recovery Pete ... must have been scary for the GF

This is quite cool

Was it like "watching" a Zwift Race on LIVE?

You'll have seen it went well until the final lap. It was a cracking 1 mile circuit in a country park around a lake. Marshals had their hands full keeping people with dogs etc off the track though.

I was quite (relatively) comfortable in the pack and chasing escapees down when needed. Nobody stayed away and people were dropped out the back.

I cocked up the final lap and found myself in a poor position as we hit the final few hundred yards. Finished 9th. 14 starters and 10 in the group which went to the line.

First time I've been in a race that got neutralised due to a swan walking her cygnets across the track!

Yeah it would probably have been more interesting if a breakaway had gotten away and their were chasers as the group stayed together so well with just a few people dropping off at the start then one guy towards the end. Would work well with a virtual map like zwiftpower live

Trying to get to level 42 as quickly as possible (want that disc wheel). Reached 41 yesterday.
Climbing Trebiac fairly vigorously I just gained 1830xp in 29 minutes or 63.1 xp/min

Comparing that with 30kph flat riding (10xp/min) that's pretty efficient. Or put another way, that's like riding 91km

I'm still not quite sure what triggers the 250xp or if it's completely random. I didn't get a PR but I did seem to be more likely to get a 250 if my power through the banner was well above FTP. Might just be a complete red herring though. You'd like to think they'd want to encourage people to work hard though . Six is the most I've had and 2 the least, but only once. Usually get 3. (This is with both up and down, using the u-turn trick).
