Need a mount for my Wahoo Bolt V2 on the new bike - should I shell out £17 for an OG Wahoo one, or go the AliExpress route? Prefer out-front rather than stem-mounted.

The new bike came with 36cm bars and turned-in hoods (as seems now to be the fashion), which, even though I'm not by any means broad-shouldered, seems ridiculously narrow. Having just sold a couple of sets of 25.4mm dia bars, I'm now looking to buy some new bars - criteria are 31.8mm dia, 40cm, not flared, black, not ridiculously heavy, preferably <£50.

I used to have 3TTT Prima 220 bars on my Trek which were 'anatomic' (i.e. had a kink on the drop), and I rather liked that, but I suspect that I'll spend most of my time on the hoods on this new machine.

Any recommendations?

Pricey but beautifully machined. Got one and don't regret it.

As for the bars: Do you have a local bike charity? Mine has literal boxes of them and there's always something suitable.

I have a brand new wahoo v2 mount spare as when I upgraded to V2 I already had enough mounts £5 + postage ? Pm me if interested

I’ve recently fitted one of these carbon yokes having smashed the previous handlebar when I fell a month ago. So far so good.

I know some people will recoil in horror at that thought of anything carbon bought on AliExpress but I’ve had wheels, stems, bars and frames for years with no issues

Did another Epic race today. 6 smallish but noticeable climbs across 53km.
This time I let the mad lads go crazy up the first one. This did mean that I could actually keep riding instead of suffering, and when we got to the climbs in the middle, I made up 90 seconds on the climbs to join a group that stayed together till the end. Even tried a flyer up the finishing climb but ended up in a little sprint. Pleased with that and don't feel dead like last time.

What keeps going wrong with the Neobike? They seem a little more prone to problems than the standard trainers-touches wood, my Neo 2 being over 6yrs old

I think I've had this one 3 years tbf and it's such a minor issue- the steering buttons haywire the connection. I just disconnected them and was happy enough but when they offered to replace the whole unit for a new one couldn't exactly say no. No issues with Garmin they have been really good, currently they are on the phone to UPS as I understand!

Use the Garmin 'Tacx training' app to connect to the Neo turbo. Download the latest firmware and install. Disconnect the phone from the turbo by switching off Bluetooth.

Now startup Zwift, have your controllers switched on, you may get a prompt to connect the turbo trainer by Bluetooth. Do this and you will then have virtual shifting.

The shift buttons are very slim on the sides of the play controllers. From memory left is easier gears right harder gears
