Hello everyone!

I've not been here for some time, but I return bearing a Christmas invitation!!

I've been helping to organise a Christmas race series for Level Racing, and I've set up the opening race, which is a points race.

It's a private ride, but last year we opened this up by invitation to other clubs and friends of Level riders.

I also had help from @alex_cycles as I was learning how to set up a points race!! Alex was very patient and helpful!

So, please come and join us if you can for the Level Christmas Points Race on 19 December at 7.15. The link is below. I may even have got the primes and points registered correctly!

Thanks Del. Fridays aren't usually great for me for racing but I'll see nearer the time and will definitely join if I can make it 👍

Great result last night Alex ! I also rode the ZRL last night. With it being a hill top finish and me being a long distance TT’r irl I knew I wouldn’t stand a chance if I waited until the end so I decided along with my team that I’d do a solo attack with 7 miles to go. Managed to get away and hit the last climb with a 21 second gap, unfortunately I got swamped halfway up the KOM, finishing 16th. Still, two of my teammates did well, one winning and one in the top ten. After the race I looked at my numbers and was pleased to find out I produced my second best 10min power of the year.

Well done for trying. We didn't have a successful breakaway in our race. It's a hard thing to do.
I got a new season 40-minute best by about 4 watts. ^_^

We've got 12 for race 1 and 10 for race 2 so far, which isn't bad at all.
As before there will be a ZP league.

You're probably really under-rated on ZRS. Martin's ZRS is way lower than mine but he beat me in Glasgow last week. I haven't had a significant break from Zwift racing since ZRS came out though. Many people are massively underrated. Martin's race this week looked really really hard - as hard as it would have been in the higher pen. It only takes a couple of people in the wrong place to make the pack speed much higher.

I'm still going to try and average 320W for Tempus tomorrow. Almost made it last time. Gonna try not to let Alex Silva get away from me too. ^_^

Did my third team ladder ride tonight - and finally a team win! 5 laps of Castle Crit course which was WAY hillier and tougher than I expected!

The first lap was absolutely brutal and the race was blown apart. I couldn't keep up with the strongest riders and eventually ended up in a group of 4 (2 from each team) in positions 5-8. I VERY nearly got dropped a few times on the climbs!

We later picked up another of our riders who had been ahead, and dropped one of theirs so the very end was 3 v 1 in our favour. I managed to find the energy for one last big attack - with a ghost PU - with about a km and one last climb to go. I stayed away and finished 5th in the end. Hardest race for a while!

Castle Crit is a brutal ladder route. I remember tackling a REALLY strong team on that one and managing to JUST hold on for 1 lap. THere isn't enough recovery between the punches - it's even worse than Glasgow Crit
