After advise regards Tuesday Wtrl race which is a points race . It's been 3 years since I raced zwift and back then I just rode for finish points ,but I now feel a bit more competitive but I struggle with sprint and recover and on this route there will be little recovery between sprints so is it best to just try and hang on towards the front and just sprinting to stay with the group and just collect what I can

Hang with the front group as plan A, but if that fails hang with the fastest group you can and fight for the segment FALs.
In our league there are about 50 riders, so a top 10 gets ~40 points.

I expect our race will break up a bit on the first climb near the start as it's about 3 minutes. So we'll probably only have half the riders left by the time the first KoM starts. That pack will likely split again on KoM 1. It's going to be very attritional.

The DBR race at 1000 tomorrow morning is 2 laps of Horrorgate if you want a dress rehearsal. No segment points though.
I'm planning to race it in the C pen.

The squad I have joined has multiple teams , initially 2 teams in the C2 diversion but they had another reserves to make 3 teams all in the same division . I was in the last minute team which was the weakest . Wtrl have shuffled the pack and promoted the strongest HTC ( 2nd in TTT ) team to C1 and the manager has decided to transfer me to them 😮 ,so from feeling I might be competitive in C2 and think now the tactic will be hang on for dear life . Just watched Alex vid ,it looks savage and brutal good luck anyone racing Tuesday night

I pretty much maxed for 22.5 minutes to hold on for one lap in the DBR race. My second lap was a bit more sedate at 26 minutes.
WTRL has suspended our reserve team because we didn't show up to race in week 1. But we've asked them to reinstate, so hopefully will be OK.

As I remember you were short of numbers so turn up probably come last and get a point , not turn up and score zero ( I presume ) put yourselves at a disadvantage and get suspended 🤨

I could have turned up and got booted for not having four people. But who cares?
I think they will reinstate us, and if not we'll just have to take it in turns to ride in the other team. No biggie, really.

I just dabble on Zwift and wonder if one of you addicts experts could explain this to me:

I have just done the Tour de Zwift race in Group D (Racing Score =160 - 270). The first four finishers started the event with Racing Scores significantly above 270 - see attached screen shot. How is this possible?

I dont know, but with those numbers, they should ride off the front of the pack and leave the rest of you to fight it out.

It is annoying this happens. But once you have been racing a while, it's best just to ignore those who shouldn't be in ypur race and duke it out with the other riders around you.

Big events are best because ypu will usually end up in a similar ability group, so can actually have a good race to the finish line

As I understand it (because I had the same query and someone on the Zwift Forums tried to answer it for me) the results page only shows any increase in Racing Score based on results and NOT the increase you might get from having a higher power "seed". This means people who haven't raced in over 90 days can have artificially depressed racing scores enabling them to enter lower pens, which then jump back up to their normal values again after their first race.

Take your race winner - my guess is that they entered the race with a score of about 260, but because they set new 90-day power records, their score leapt up by 200 or so (not shown) plus another 8 from the race (shown). Not much you can do about it unfortunately.
