The segment on Leith only starts halfway up. I've never understood why they do that, but the worst one in Zwift is Aqueduc fwd KoM, which starts just before the bridge after you have climbed to the bridge. The actual KoM itself is only about 6m ascent  Silly.
Because the actual real world Leith Hill starts where the KOM start point is. All the climbing before it is roads that were made up by Zwift.

I think they made it up just to hurt us. BSTRDS!
You flew up there, one minute faster than my PB (which I will be nowhere near tonight!).

Nice sprint at the end too :notworthy:
I beat my PR by just over a minute too . I was just trying to keep up with that group because I knew I'd get a bit of a rest on the descent.

Didn't seem much rest on the descent ,Anvil drops attack to respond another Anvil drops repeat isn't my idea of resting 👍

My weebles went from -7 at the summit to +4 by the bottom. Yes there were some short sprinty bits to avoid getting dropped, but that was definitely a rest

ZRL went well tonight, for me at least - rest of the team not so much!

Got my best 20 minute power since November 2024, PR’d up Leith by almost 40 seconds and pipped a lightweight on the line for 5th, considering they were over 20 seconds ahead at the top.

I had a cold over the weekend and I thought I recovered, after ZRL I can confirm I haven't 🤢🤢. The climb worked out quite well found myself in a group of 4 ,1 teammate with a team mate 6 secs up the road so we could play the were not working teammate up the road game ,truth is both of us were on our limit , teammate cracked before me and I blew just as we caught the lead teammate up the road 200mts from the top . The 3 of us got back together on the downhill caught another rider and I won 🎉🎉 the sprint for that all important 35th place . The lightweight climber I've raced most rounds put a minute into today but she has been away on an altitude training camp ( riding up Mt Tiede) which seems at bit excessive just to take a minute off a not fully fit me 😂

Have I ever mentioned that I hate hills?

That was brutal tonight.
The pace was high out the pens, I needed to hold my FTP just to stay in the pack to get to the hill. After 3 weeks not racing and only able to do Z1/Z2 riding that was a blinkin shock to the system
I hit the climb with the main pack but was quickly dropped. I crawled in 37th out of 54. Thankfully the rest of the team did better and we won the night and came 2nd in the league.
I might petition WTRL to add more flat routes in the April season races lol

At this point I should mention that DRS will be on Tuesdays from 3rd March for 5 weeks to fill the gap until next ZRL

No details yet but there should be some within a few days.

LV thunder finally got the team win this week.

Pace was probably more manageable on the climbs than I was expecting to be honest. I usually wait till the last second to sprint when there's a reduced bunch but we had a lone escapee who seemed to be gone with a km to go when one of the bigger diesels went after him, I managed to draft and just catch the pair of them on the line.

An aero didn't hurt (our powerups were all over the place).

Bram Paul and I had a great season, I think at least 3 race wins and a couple of second places between us as well as a bunch of segment points.

Tough old race that ! As expected box hill was very unpleasant for me, absolutely on the rivet both times resulting in a PB to keep in the front group. One of my teammates did a breakaway with two others so with him safely getting 2nd it was up to the rest of the team to pick up as many points at the final sprint. I made a bit of a hash of it, missing the jump and by the time I dropped my draft it was to late, coming 11th  Still, the rest of the team did well with three in the top ten, provisionally giving us the race win by over 100 points. In the series we jumped up a place, giving us third overall. It was close though, in fact the top three all finished on 53 points. It was only the FAL, FTS and FIN points deciding the order.
