Im finding it tougher to be nearer the front of my category D these days. So I try and race C where I can and get similar placing

You get all ages and abilities in each category. The best get promoted out of category almost instantly. Unfortunately there seems to be a steady stream of newbies to replace them which upsets the categories

That's exactly the problem. I've never won a ZRS race because there is ALWAYS someone there who is grossly misclassified due to having not done enough races. I don't care though. If I had a great need to win virtual medals I could set up a non-ZRS series on Fridays where a podium is virtually guaranteed

Just race bigger events so there will almost always be a few of similar abilities to compete with

I like the Epic races on Sundays. All cats start together so you can always find a group to ride with - whether it's above or below the group ZRS thinks you should be in.
