I meant to add, I did it in 92 minutes last July, averaging 3.5 wkg for the climb. That may give you an idea of how long you will be climbing.
Pogi had the KoM at 58 minutes at the time, but smashed it down to 53/54 minutes when Jumbo Visma forced him to race it hard in the Tour a week or so later.

I've done Sault and Malaucene sides.

I would say of all the mountains I've managed to get to the top, Ventoux is by far the best.

Absolutely amazing views.

The descents are spectacular too. I've got a video of the descent into Malaucene

I refuse to hacve anything to do with Specialized, even virtually. Management are too pro the tangoed tw@t, not to mention they are bullies - never forget them trying to close a business called Roubaix down, as if they own the name FFS.
Have upgraded 2 Canyon Aeroads ( bought the fancy paint job one and then discovered it needed upgrading) and now at L4 on the Cadex.
The Aeroad is only marginally slower than the SL8.
12.5 hour week, 453 kms including 115 kms outdoors yesterday, Zwift Games on Tuesday and TTT on Thursday.

I have a Roubaix, an Allez and a Diverge. My wife has an Allez. I love them all. I haven't met any of the management or the above-mentioned tangoed undercarriage though. So I don't have an opinion on that.

They also own a big chunk of Zwift. I do like the bikes though.

I blame Lenny Kravitz for my poor result today.
I knew this was going to be hard, I feel my ZRS is too high for my fitness level.
Zwift games stage 2, I had already done the route as a free ride so knew what to expect.
The pace was high as usual from the start but I managed to hang on to the draft with the front group, I like to listen to some cycling tempo music to keep me going, anyway Lenny Kravitz came on with "Go your own way" a song I really don't like, so I clicked away from the Companion app to the YouTube music app that was streaming to my amp, by the time I had clicked the arrow for the next song I had been dropped from the front group, that short lack of concentration in the race was costly, I tried to catch but made no headway and rode most of the ride alone.
I did get a PB for the route though.
A puzzling thing was I got a green sprint jersey, I couldn't figure how I had come to have it, I made no great sprint efforts.
Lookin at my activity in the Companion app, the green jersey was for the Manhatten sprint. I never passed through this sprint !

BC talent scouts visited my 12yo's school last week with their Wattbike in tow, and today he's got a letter inviting him to Derby Arena Velodrome for the next stage of testing and selection! He was able to peak at 512W, which I think is PDG. He's definitely got a sprinter's physique, and has thus far in his life been pretty averse to bike riding (he's a strong swimmer, though).

That's brilliant, and even if not selected that's an awesome achievement to get to that stage and such a great experience.

That led to great things for Lizzie Deignan (née Armitstead)...

Old Telegraph article said:
Pete Latham, 59, who organised the British Cycling’s Olympic Talent Team visit to Prince Henry Grammar School in Lizzie’s hometown of Otley, joked how the silver medallist only signed up to give cycling a go to skip lessons.

Mr Latham said she was one of a number from her year group who put herself forward when the team came to her school and “smashed the endurance tests”.

The PE teacher, who retired this summer, told how she had inherited her talents from her parents, both of whom were also taught by Mr Latham.

“We invited pupils to come and have a go at this talent spotting by Jonny Clay, the regional British Cycling officer, and the story goes that Lizzie decided this is a great opportunity, I can also miss a maths lesson at the same time,” he said.

“She went along with quite a number of others from her year group and she stood out. She absolutely smashed the endurance tests and the sprint trials that Jonny Clay ran.
Fingers crossed, eh!
