Level 100 stripe. Today is the first time it's appeared for me. I was expecting it last week.

Well done. As ever, not great for my mental state to watch these as it looks like tremendous pain. Heck of a first course!

I had to go all-in to stay on up the first climb but I made it.
Second time I fell off before it even started, but I had scored on both prior segments, so overall was OK.
I still tried to power up the climb with a steady effort, and was quite pleased with it as I think I overtook 2 or 3 people and none came past me (that I remember).

Ours ended up pretty interesting - 3 riders from one team broke away about halfway through and stayed away with two other riders bridging, thankfully one from our team. @bridgy hopefully has video as it'll be interesting to see, I've never seen one done as successfully.

Provisionally though we were second with a strong team performance

Our race never really split at all it was quite ( zwift racing standards ) relaxed . I managed 4th or 5th on the Fal sprint , 7th FTS up the aquaduct and 3rd FTS up the KOM and 6th on the line for 3rd overall ,well happy with that got the most Kom points gutted I'm missing week 3 rather than next week's as I could go for GC . Teammates finished 6th,7th,26th,31st and 36th team got 2nd overall

Having felt I contributed nothing to the team in the last DRS, I was really surprised to find myself at the sharp end of tonight's race in Silver.

Came 9th at the initial sprint (though having only 27 riders makes that a bit easier than usual) and managed to hang on to the lead group of 15 over the Reverse KOM, though almost lost them on the downhill and had to put down mega watts to catch back up. Stayed with them for the rest of the race up until the third bend of the final climb where I finally got dropped, but a few others were as well and I was able to outsprint one rider for 12th at the finish line.

With the points from the sprint, I came 13th overall, one place ahead of @Whorty (we are on the same team this time), who won both the Sprint and the Aqueduc climb, then cruised home towards the back having spent all his energy on those two!

As Steve said, I was pretty spent after the first sprint - I attacked early and held on to cross the line first. Chest was really burning at that point, I think the pollen count this week is buggering up my asthma.

Got to the KoM the first time and 30 seconds in and I'm off the back. I ended up riding with one other guy in last place to the aqueduct. Having conserved energy I attacked that full effort and maxed the FTS points. Now my chest was on fire!!

I crawled to the KoM and started it in joint last with the NL guy, but I managed to pull away enough that I wasn't dead last haha

Overall with points I was 15th I think

Not stopped coughing since - that was a hard set of sprints but I'm well chuffed that despite crawling in at the back I still managed to help the team :training:

Steve was on fire again tonight - I'd say your training for LeJog is coming on pretty well given the finishes you've had recently

In our race one of my team hadn't read the road book and "won" the 2nd sprint convincely as no one reacted 😂 as everyone else knew it didn't count . We were willing her to keep going on a solo breakaway as she did get a 6 second gap . If you were strong enough good tactic to get a gap then keep going

NExt week's TTR has two 5ish minute climbs. It's more like a 6 and a 4, but there's also a 2-minute on Jarvis Reverse KoM before both of those. ZG25 Queen stage has the climb up to the Jungle and then back down and out and up Mayan Mountain KoM and finishes a little after that.

It will be very interesting to see how that pans out. I think it will split on the climb to the jungle and the final climb may well be fierce if more than one team remain in the front.
