I'm in a Ladder race tonight - first time for me. On the Rolling Highlands course. 2 teams of 5 riders each. I'm probably our weakest rider, but I look (on paper) stronger than the weakest of the opposition, so my aim is to beat him. Or die trying haha

Ladder is great fun as long as there is a reasonably good matchup. Had some epic races when that was the case and some horror stories when totally outclassed. DFL is always a worthy goal.

Was really close last night - should have been a 5v5 but one of our guys couldn't get to the start line due to kid troubles (our strongest rider too) so ended up being 4v5 but only 4 scores counting
Rolling Highlands, so nice and punchy. We kept attacking, pushing them hard and dropped 2 of their riders before the finish, and another about 1km from the finish.
On the finish we were 2, 4, 5, 6 which gave us equal points to them - because they were the challengers and we drew we were awarded the win.
Really enjoyed the tactical side - we're at it again next Thursday
