Yeah I was torn. I wanted to do it, but by the time I got to the signup page I would have been an hour and a half after the start.
Also really wanted to test myself properly on an endurance ride after my medical break because I'm signed up for a 209 km Audax on 7th November and I figured "if I struggle with a 60 mile B ride now, I likely shouldn't do it". So I needed a current data point for that.
Thankfully I was fine. So I reckon I could probably do it, but I won't bother if it's due to rain a lot or be horribly windy.
Sounds like a good decision.

Yeah there are some hard to get ones there because you have to be a member to walk round Wytham Woods normally. We are members so I have those tiles from walks. Would like to do that hill climb at some point though. Nice closed road, ideal.

Not sure if this is a humblebrag or a sandbag but won the race today. Race of 42 - 2 people dropped on the line, the other 40 stayed together- of those 40 I had the lowest w/kg of the whole race, and maybe the lowest 20 mins power.
Im not sure if I'm just noodling in C but on the other hand I actually could have raced in D today! And that was despite having the fastest time up the hill. Otherwise just sat in draft and waited for moves that never really came.
We had a bit of a mare at the start, more zwift than wtrl but people couldn't get into the pen. The race was very dull, one decent line break, neither of the top two teams doing...anything. even when it split up a little on the climb I sat with a group that had 4 of the 2nd places team and 2 of the 1st placed team and they both just...waited. all came together and advantage gone - baffling.
So despite winning I feel a bit frustrated. Our team unfortunately has had difficulty getting 4 riders due to technical issues so I think we are 3rd overall which is a decent showing. I might try racing up after this series as I think my fitness won't get better until I do.
Edit; we were the only team with 3 finishers so think we've been relegated to 10th. I've winning the individual jerseys but maybe not if we are dq'd for this race

Looks like Zwift has gone wrong and a lot of people in ZRL and DRS EMEA zones can't log in and race.

I wonder if it's the knock on from the google data centre outage earlier today.
My ride took a while to save and lots seem to have had an issue loggin in between 6.30 and 7.00 pm

I had such a panic getting into the pen I forgot to change bikes so raced on my Aethos that I warm up on to slowly upgrade it ,at least I got a few more metres 😁. Raced for the team in the tougher division came 39th that time would have it me 5th place in my normal league . Main team got 2nd on the night so we're 5 points clear at the top of the league 🎉🎊. We've finished 1st (in the cancel round ) ,1st ,1st 2nd and 2nd

Zwift suffered a short server outage. this was restored at 17:47 UTC but we are aware that anyone trying to access Zwift or events during that outage window wont have been able to.
ZRL races starting at or after 18:00 UTC appear unaffected so far.
WTRL will be in touch with all affected teams later this week once we understand how many leagues/teams/people were affected and agree a solution for todays Race with Zwift.

The early evening races in DRS were massively affected, one person we spoke to on Discord said there were only three in her pen when there'd usually be over 20. She assumes the race will be nullified, but is gutted because she won it by 7 minutes, having soloed it, dropping the other two riders in the first 2km.
Our race at 19:30 seemed to be at the tail end of the problem but it still caused issues. A number of riders (myself included) had the Join Now button and clicking it transported me to the correct session (e.g. all free riders disappeared, only names of those I was racing against were in the Zwifters Nearby box) but didn't take me to the actual pens. Half of my team-mates were on the Watopia Pier, the rest of us were still in various spots on the road along the shore front. Most got it sorted by quitting the race, quitting the app, or at the most extreme rebooting the computer before rejoining, but for me even after doing all of those I still couldn't get into the pen. Gave it one final try with a minute or so to go and it got stuck on the blue "Going to Watopia" screen while I could hear the countdown hit 0:00 on Discord. When eventually it came back, I was finally in the pen but all the other riders were 35 seconds up the road leaving me in 18th (and last) place and having to chase back on.
However I still went for it and PR'd the Hilly KOM and Radio Tower, plus a 2nd best time on the Epic KOM and finished in 8th place overall, with a 3rd place FTS on the Radio Tower to boot.
No video footage unfortunately as I was so stressed in trying to get into the race that I never started the recording, but I can show you one of my team-mates' Twitch video, though you only see me in brief spots on the Epic, then finally overtaking him on the Radio Tower.
