Fun ZRL course finishing on volcano climb was a good end to a decent series.
We didn't really have a consistent team out, I was the only rider to do all races and maybe one other guy did 4. Pipped the final sprint but we finished a distant 3rd in the league series, never really being in it which is a shame. Still, legs feel good and sprint power definitely there. Going to try and have a healthyish November ahead of Christmas to try and get weight down and back in B but it's a tall enough order

Fun !🤢🤢🤢. My team managed 2nd with only 4 riders to top the league by 6 points with a possible rerun of last week's race . All Four of us scored FTS on all the climbs ,I got top FTS of the Jarvis lap by positioning my self just off the back as we entered then getting top 2 FAL as I think a few people were unaware of the lap segment and didn't contest it .

What happened on Montmartre Alex? I was watching almost live (you were already on the TT course when I tuned in so rewound it a few minutes to see the start) and clearly you were saving yourself for the segments, which worked great on the sprint, but despite Strava saying you got a PR on the climb, it wasn’t good enough for a top 10? I can only guess that loads of the others were also targeting the climb.

For my DRS team, I did okay in the first race; tried and failed a breakaway with the ghost powerup, got minor points at the 2nd and 3rd sprints, then finished mid-pack as I was supposed to be saving myself for the iTT (oops!). Didn’t matter as the rest of my team were on a tear so I ended up not being in our top four scorers anyway.
The iTT was a lot better though - admittedly my type of race but still really happy with how it played out. Stuck to my power plan out the pens ignoring those who raced away knowing I’d grind them down eventually. Didn’t really try on the FTS and still got 9th and at the FAL I was in 4th but it was the same points for 3rd so I didn’t bother chasing the guy 1 second ahead, saving as much energy as I could. Bottom of the climb I was in 5th (teammate had caught me) and I absolutely went for it - 360W for 3 minutes. Passed three riders to finish 2nd, 3rd on FTS (PR by 20 seconds) and 2nd overall on points as well.

I just ran out of juice having scored on all three segments in race 5 and got FTS 1st in race 6, I had nothing left half way up the climb.
I still got third in the green jersey though, having missed Richmond. I possibly might have got 2nd if I'd done that race.
There is only so much you can do. Can't have it all (unless you're a sandbagger, that is
)I did manage 11.8 for 5s and 11.1 for 15s on that first segment in race 5 though.
In raw Watts it was equal PR, but I've added 4kg so in W/kg it wasn't.WTRL ran a vote to see wether to rerun round 4 which was affected by the zwift issues . My main teams league which was slightly affected vote no rerun 😁 ,So we've won the league by 6 points which we were unlikely to loose but the places for 2nd and 3rd could have been changed as the team in 3rd only put out 3 riders in round 4 and came last . The other team I rode in the later slot which was less affected voted for a rerun 😵💫 ,so I maybe doing the boring scratch race again on green to screen
Tried the watt lock feature last night ,just wanted a steady zone 2 ride so go it a go just could pedal away without thinking and the resistance changed with cadence without every feeling too aggressive ,quite liked it for this type of rides and it stops me blowing zone 2 when you get overtaken by @Peter Salt randomly,that's my excuse Id probably not have kept up 🤣

Our race is being rerun altho there were only about 8 people missed out based on attendance at other races most of whom were our team. In fairness we were most disadvantaged but at same time it didn't actually impact our final league position so I voted no, but guess I'm racing again!

I've not looked at Rouvy in a while, but last night I discovered you get a free 20Km use per calendar month, hilly routes will make that 20Km last longer... Renews on 1st of each month and you can download routes to your device, so I'll be downloading the excellent Road To Hell and seeing how slow I go compared to my pre long covid virtual and real times of sub 34mins.

I would pay more for a premium racing experience. But it will be interesting to try out this video thing as we will all get a free month of it.
