Yep sad news indeed but he'd been suffering from Dementia for some time so it may have been a relief both for him and his family.

A good mate of mine and a former work colleague of Maz's was the singer in AB/CD (Alan has retired now) They won some sort of AC/DC 'tribute band' competition on MTV, met the guys from the band and Angus gave their guitarist one of his Gibson SGs

Alan always said Malcolm was the 'engine' behind AC/DC

sighs long and hard and realises that another bit of my youth has gone .. i went to loads of gigs on the 1991 tour best one was Donington though . not much sleep that weekend

currently blasting out Live the 1992 album.

The earlier 'Bon Scott' records were better. 'Dirty Deeds' has finished so I'm on to 'If You Want Blood You Got It', on Vinyl (original records too)

I can't disagree. But as a 19 year old Donington was one to remember .

Very sad news, RIP Malcolm. I've been a fan of the band for many years and once upon a time played in a DC covers band, which concentrated largely upon the earlier Bon Scott material.

I too preferred the earlier iteration of AC/DC but what a great back catalogue they have grown over the years.

Sad to hear of Malcolm's death but in reality he probably left us some while ago. What a nasty disease.
