I'm still on the lookout for a bargain winter bike.

After reading others comments about disc brake on sub £1k bikes I am after a road bike with 105 groupset and either TRP Hy/RD or Spyre disc brakes.

Both in the title fit the bill while available in budget of £750 to £900.

Decided against BB5 or 7 and Promax Render again on others users comments.

Admittedly I will not be doing much if any off road riding but it does seem the cheapest way to get a road bike with discs.

The GT frame is a bit of a Marmite design but it gets 5/5 on Bike Radar.

Anyone rode either of these bikes ?
No dealers near me to try unfortunately

Definitely the Felt Z75. £700. Bargain !

Had an F75 for a week in Spain in early July and that was superb yet 2 years old and ridden hard by many people.

£750 in Disc version. I was interesed in the normal Z75, think the disc was out of stock too when I looked.

Either way, great bike. Even saw one on the road this morning.

Cracking value at 750. Does it have mudguard mounts for proper mudguards? As that's a winter bike necessity IMHO

The F and Z do feel very different, probably because they are very different.

Got the Z75 with disc in the end. I showed the missus the GT and she nearly spat her wine out over the iPad so that decided it ;)
She's the one who's got to look at it when we go biking so...
