Here is something you might not know - the first RL World Cup was in 1954 and included 2 Scotsmen...the other one is still alive and lives not too far away from me (David Rose, Jedburgh)

I was at Jedburgh tonight watching Melrose (mostly 2nds) give them a good kicking and turned round at HT to see David Rose and his wife sitting right behind me. He's a cheery old bugger and all the locals were chatting away to him and he seemed to know them all by name.
