After a mad dash from the elephant and castle I missed the start and hoped i would catch up before thamesmead, it didn't take long to catch them but I was out of breath for a couple of minutes and so just tagged along at the back until I could speak.With Simon and User10571 leading at a comfortable pace arallsop and I cruised along enjoying the view of the Kent countryside. Having only rode to Windsor and back I didn't think that I would last the day but staying at an easy pace the miles flew by and before long we were sitting in a tea room in Sandwich by a log fire looking at train times, a great day.
